Default Tribunus and % curve throttle

What range is the Tribunus most confortable for throttle?

Is it like other ESC best at 80% throttle flat curve?

Try to gear to keep TC at or around 80% as per previous Scorpion ESC's.

Ok so I guess I am getting a low headsped because I tried it with a storage charge level battery. I am getting around 1500 headspeed with a gear that I use to give me 1900 with my Kosmik both at 80%. I was wondering if the Tribunus was like Castle ESC that you put at 100%.

I will try a fully charged one tonite. I guess the Tribunus works like the Kosmik because this happened before starting a flight one day with a half charged battery and I was getting a very low headspeed then too. Changing to a fully charged battery made the Kosmik behave again.

Unless I did something wrong with the Tribunus.

Weel I had to push it to 87% to get the RPM I wanted a very steep increase from 1550 to 1800 RPM for a 7% increase.

I hope this will work like that. I will have to keep an eye on temperature.

Full set up recheck calibration of the Throttle is perfect according to the software 0 is 0 and 100 is 100%.

With a gearing where I use to get a head speed of 1900 at 80% with a Kontronik ESC, I have to go to 87% to reach a headspeed of 1840 with the Tribunus.

Strange or normal?

Not all ESC have the same governor software, so all normal, if you were using a Jive it would have been 65%

Thanks now I have to hope that the Scorpion can work nice with higher % otherwise I am back to an other ESC because 15T is max number of teeth for my TDR1 and my Kosmik is too heavy to my liking.

Hi all, think my questions applies here;

I intend to run low headspeeds (Xnova XTS 4530-480KV) and will try to gear it right, but I guess I am spoiled with Jives over the years with very low throttle%.
Will the Tribunus 200A overheat in these scenarios?

I have not tried lower head speed to see if the Tribunus overheats but based on what I have found that the Tribunus needs higher % for the same head speed than with a Kosmik, you will end top with higher % too than your Jive.

This should help keep the heat down.

I have not run mine enough yet to see if heat is a problem. On the Scorpion/Tribunus forum a lot of people have put a fan on the Tribunus and the Castle fan seems to be the best effective unit.

Does anyone have experience with partial throttle and freewheeling capabilities on the Tribunus 200? Thanks

On my Gaui R5 I run from about 1800 rpm to 3250. The escís AFW works very well and I have not noticed any heating issues (and the Jeti logs prove this out). The internal gov also works well over a wide headspeed range.

That is a wide range for sure, cool!

I have tried low head speed 1150 rpm on my Logo 600se using the Scorpion Tribunus 200 amp esc. Using one 6S pack on a 12S system. Also running low head speed (1250rpm) with 2 - 3300 mah packs and just using low throttle percentage. It worked fine. I am only tried it a few times but it worked without creating a high heat problem. I could run 1250 rpm on bank 1, then higher rpm on the other banks. If I was going to do it all the time I might think about changing the motor to a lower KV to make the efficacy better. I have a Scorpion 4035-450KV motor, 12S, 106 tooth main gear, 11 tooth pinion, It’s geared for 1790 to 2020 rpm.
