Hey gang, though I'd introduce myself and say I finally got my first helicopter kit(a Trex 450 clone) from a swap meet last weekend and am really excited about getting it up and running. Looking forward to learning as much as I can and hopefully learn enough to pass along.

Hi Eric
Welcome to HF. You come to the right place to learn . I suggest a sim if you don't already add have one. That 1 tool , and a mentor have help me greatly. And read. At first it seemed I was drinking from a fire hose but with info posted within this site, asking questions and the incredible help offered by members it soon started clicking into place.
A very rewarding journey. Look into the newbies tips and information. A good place to get started.
Good luck. It's addicting

Hi and welcome!

The little Trex 450 is probably what a lot of people started out with in this hobby. You will have to be ready to learn and don't despair. It will require you to learn how to setup the helicopter before you fly it and also you need to learn how to fly.

For that last point it is very important you pick up a computer sim. If you practice the control basics there you can save yourself a crash on your first time trying out to fly.

Just see if you can take a look at the following post and be sure to reach out with any questions.

Cheers!
