Default H3060 tail servo durability

My second H3060 servo packed up today. It appears to be the motor, and was the motor with the first servo. The first servo failed with a pretty heavy tail on crash so I gave it the benefit of the doubt but this second servo has had a fairly crash free but short life. I'm not that pleased as these servo's are quite expensive to get in the UK. Has anyone had similar issues with these servos?
I'm going back to the stock servo for now.

Mine has held up well over a year now. Including a few gentle crashes. You may have gotten a bad one. It's luck of the draw when it comes to Chinesium parts.

I only had stock servo for a long time and never had any problem with it. And I did have many ceashes even tail down.Make servo mod on it too.

I have had my H3060 on now for a few years, no issues, but I don't fly as much as most of you do. probably had had a dozen crashes, some worse than others, and it still seems to be ok.
before you put on the stock, it wouldn't hurt to take off the bottom case and look inside. its a known issue that when they were assembled, many of them had the wires pinched between the motor can and the little board causing them to get skinned and short out. I found all three of my new ones like this and many people had failures because of it.
I like my H3060, but now that I have corrected the wiring in the stock servos... I will go back to them if it ever fails.

Thanks for the tip on the stock servos. I will check the wires.

One of my H3060 servo lasted over 900 flights. The others were not as long but were still well over 200 flights. I noticed that the lifespan of the H3060 have been getting shorted recently. Perhaps there is a deterioration in quality control. It is still way better than stock where 30 was my average number of flights.

I think you will find that on average the h3060 hands down is a more solid and reliable servo than the stock one. With metal gears it is very durable in a crash as well.
