I have a g700 comp and I love it. I also have the devil 380 for practice and quick flights. The devil 380 is a good kit. However there r 2 things in my opinion that need to be changed. The canopy and tailboom r very weak. At least tailboom needs to be changed to a g380 or a canomod boom. Belt tensioner is a must. I also changed to carbon fiber tail blades 72mm needs 5mm root. Stock O-ring wears out quickly keep an eye on head slop.

I have been beating the hell out of mine...as best I can, anyway....

crashed it a few times as well....I have to say it is worth every penny I saved and crashes well...but I do have the 2mm frames so that might help

worth it to get a spare bare bones kit for spares even...

Default ok guys, been flying alot of drones, but need help on heli

got it complete
devil 380
spectrum dx7s
mostly stock parts except I got a Align ESC's RCE BL50X
I cant for the life of me get it into setup mode......
and it on defaults, but I think I need to change timing
caz when I throttle up.....motor jiggles like esc 3 wires are wrong......but I flip around and noting.. so I put it back the correct way.....I think?
if I throttle up and down and up and down enough times it stats to spin, and it will go high throttle......but stop put new lipo.....and it starts again

so figured I would go thru setup and change some items, like poles.....and timing......but I cant get it to go into setup mode

any help would be great

sounds like a bad solder on one of the motor/esc bullet connectors...

also check out this youtube video to walk you through the setup of that align esc..

That's the usual cause of stuttering during start up, but it could also be a faulty ESC or simply an incompatibility between the ESC and motor. There are no settings in the ESC that will make any difference to this issue even if you do get into the setup.

FWIW worth it's impossible to get the three wires 'wrong' other than the motor will spin backward if you swap any two wires over... So if when you get it working it does spin backward just swap two wires (any two of the three).

It's really important that it the motor doesnt spool up immediately that you power down. Trying to force a stuttering motor to spin by applying more throttle will burn out the motor and/or ESC.

It is probably not seeing 100% at full throttle ...start by calibrating the throttle and then you should be able to get into program mode if using "Stick Programing" (I believe the new align ESC's use Hobby wing programing but not really sure as I don't own any new align esc's. Someone else should be able to confirm this is correct or not)

Another cause of the motor problem could be you used too long mounting screws and they are making contact with the motor windings. But it is usually caused by only two phases are getting power and one isn't getting enough or any at all)
