Is it ok to us the pc port power and ground for a cooling fan?

Or is it best to y-cable off the slave port?

Thanks guys.

Wow, 450ma is a lot of current for a 40mm fan. I have 120mm case fans that use less. That fan must move a lot of air. The castle fan says 160ma, but max voltage is 7.4.

I would think any 12v 40mm computer fan would work fine. They seem to range from about 1500-6000rpm at 12v. I would think 8.4v would be perfect.

Honestly doubt it's really 450mA. That is a lot, as you said.

The 30 mm fan fits the 06-130 ESC.

The 40mm fan for the 14-200 ESC.

What size fits the 12-130 ESC ? I think the 30mm fits the 130 as well.

Edit: The 12-130 takes one 30mm fan.

For my Synergy 516 I just ran a double port cable (like a Y) from aux 1 on the Neo. I have one fan installed and plugged into it. I will plug the second fan into it as well.

I put two fans on my 06-120 ESC. Haven’t tested it in flight but it should keep things cool.
