This is a good point.

Is there a way to access like use reports? How many flights per day, per week, per month, per location, etc? Actually, it would be even better to be able to download data and crunch it into Excel.

There are so many ways the data can be analysed, everyone's need are different. For me flights per year is more useful than flights per week!

There is an export function under Dropbox (it's there because it saves the output to a Dropbox folder). It's a fairly easy format to read into Excel (tab delimited). From there you can do as you wish.

It's already there, Setup / Dropbox / Export data.

I’ve noticed that when logging charged packs, the selection button still remains selected after the log is saved. Not a big issue but annoying .

Hi Argypak,
I'm not seeing this issue, whenever I'm on the battery tab, select one or more batteries, then charge. When I return to the battery tab screen, all packs are unchecked. Tested on both iOS and Android.

Anyone else see this problem?

Try with a stick pack. Works okay with single packs

Confirmed, this only appears to affect stick packs. Will be fixed in next release.

I think I am too stupid. I connected my dropbox account and the backup and export seem to be working. I also have the option to restore data.

But I can't find any files in my dropbox when using the browser! Which folder / where should the data be? The app shows as linked app.

I am confused

Backups are in RcLiPoLogBackup.
Exports are in RcLiPoLogExports.

Thanks for the reply. I did not have those folders. Now that I know where they should be I signed out of dropbox in the app and connected again. I then made a new backup and export and the folders were created.

I did some digging through the exported files to make some custom graphs and statistics. One odd thing I found is that the "Total flight time" shown for my models in the app does not match the sum of the individual flights when added up in Excel. Excel always gives me a higher flight time. The flightcount is the same in both. This seems to be true for all my models...

Did you have a total flight time for the model before you started adding flights? For example, if you know you had a number of flights before starting logging this can be setup when setting up the model.

Or did you import the data from another app? Maybe it's total flight time was off slightly for a similar reason.

Hi there,

Have two questions of how to do this. If not available would be awesome to have as features.

I would like to start logging sim time on the app. I want to set myself a goal in hours for the year and would be awesome to log it as flights on the app.

And 2, I would like to know if I can "reset" my flight count for the year. Not wipe out old data, but archive it and watch my statistics only for this year.

Just create a model called 'Simulator' (with power 'None') and log flights to it just like any model.

On most of the pages (except for the model summary) you can select the year (month and day too) and only data for that year is shown. Is that not suitable?

Thanks for your help! Just to give everyone a quick heads up. I contacted Steve via email and he jumped onto the problem immediately and was able to solve it. It was an import issue with the data from the old app I used before.

Toad, are you using the app to track batteries or just models? I'm not sure if I want to go through the trouble of logging packs. Thanks!

If you set power type to none it won't ask for packs. I've been doing that to track just flights for ages.

German translation added (German users, let me know if you have any issues with this)
Added charge C rating to battery setup.
Default fuel usage added to options.
Sort batteries by IR.
Added 2 new fuel types: Diesel and Jet-A
