That is correct, the photo above with iKON is a 11t on 4s the #2 oxy is on 3s 14t and rips!!

Those were the exact settings I was planning for when I ran into the software warning. I hope getting at the pinion gear isn't too much trouble.

You gotta pull the motor off the mount to get the grub screw on the pinion.

Drug screw? Never heard that term. They've always been known to me as a "set screw."

Default Overcurrent

New build.
  • Talon 35
  • 4S 1550
  • 4100KV Lynx
  • 11T pinion
  • Current Limiting = Normal

Talon governed to 3200 in normal mode. First spool up this afternoon and I'm getting an overcurrent warning. I thought that the Talon 35 was enough for this setup? I see others are using it without issue. Any ideas before I replace it with something else? I'll try insensitive in a bit.

I am far from hard 3D. I was just taking it out back for the first hover. Changing the current limiting to insensitive seems to have resolved the issue for now.

So I've been running a hw50 but the battery lead is failing at the esc inside the box so I'm swapping it out to what I have available . Castle 35 Talon.

I'm running 3s at 3400 and 4s on 3800. I should be ok with a 12t pinion.

What a coincidence this thread got started

Default Talon 35 settings for Oxy3

So I ran mine today with 12t timing at 5 and 8 kHz and set the current to insensitive. No issues at all flew 9 packs and not a peep.

4s is a bit boggy though even at 3800.

Considering something else (4s 11T TE). With the Talon 35 I'm getting an over current after every flight even with it set to insensitive. I'm just doing pattern work and a few easy loops. Is the HobbyWing BEC sufficiant for the KSTs or is everyone running an external BEC?

I used the hobbywing 50A for a very long time running MKS and bx and it was solid. I ordered a 60A for my TE and it should be here Monday.
