Thanks for the pictures and link. Can those be turned so they face down? That's looks clean, so if I can turn them down like the Mostro connector picture in my previous post it could be the answer. I'm still wondering about the direct solder as well if anyone has a picture of that. I won't clutter up a sticky with a bunch of posts on this, but answers to these remaining questions would get me going and will probably help others as well.

These work in both directions, inline or 90deg, they have a grubscrew to connect the wire, but I solder the wire in once I have establish the correct routing and length.

I am tempted to use in the TDR II, however I do have my doubts about proper electrical insulation preventing a shortcut

Regards,

No need to worry about insulation on any of the lugs as Kontronik supplies you with heat shrink for the battery terminals and the motor terminals. Some installations it can be difficult to do the motor terminals but liquid insulation works really well.

With the newer Mikado Logo 700 the motor (Savox BSM 5065-500) and the ESC (Kontronik Kosmik 500) are mounted approximately 4 cm apart. I was thinking that I could solder "ring terminals" onto the motor leads and bolt them directly to the ESC terminals.

However, I fear that the vibration from the motor and rotor would cause fatigue failure of the wires or damage to the ESC. The wires from the motor are short and very stiff (only two strands).

Would this situation present a problem?

Thank you in advance for your options and experience. Ken

On my Logo 700 I used 90 terminals. The motor wires are soldered directly to the 90 terminals.

Thank you for the responses, gives me more confidence in trying a solid connection.. I will be using two ring terminals soldered together, back to back to ensure that they aren't the weak link. They appear to be heavy duty ones from an automotive supplier.
