If it is going to be only 220A it lags behind the Scorpion 300A 16S Tribunus that is available already.

Kontronik been saying that they coming out with new esc.....that's been a few months now with nothing to show. Scorpion stealing all the customer with their top of the line esc with good pricing to compete, and keep coming out with new esc.

Seem they pretty late now, I was one of them waiting for kontronik to come out with new esc.

I was using Kontronik exclusively. I loved the performance and the way I could integrate telemetry with my Jeti. But I got tiered of the high prices and offers of 20% off crash replacement even for seemingly minor damage. The new Tribunus performs flawlessly, costs half of the Kontronik, and they offer 50% off crash replacement.

I donít mind paying more if I am getting more. But scorpion have closed the gap if not surpassed them in quality and performance for much less money. I just canít justify going Kontronik any more.

IMO they need to up their game if they want to remain competitive .

Can't imagine there will be only one version. I would hope 220A is entry level with a flagship model capable of 300A+.

I was waiting for a 16S Kosmik or some time. Cool to see its finally happening. I had to go ahead with a YGE 16S controller for the time being as it was the only one available - working very well I must say.

Also, not sure who in the helicopter community is in need of a 300A controller that also does 16S. The amperage draw goes down significantly when running 16S - 200A will be more than enough. Perhaps a Speed machine might get benefit from it. My Logo 800 running 2000rpm on 16S barely gets the ESC warm.

Love their YGE's LVT range but I don't do speed controllers without BEC, which is why I opted for Kosmik many years ago.

Yes speed guys but I have shut down a Kosmik 200 before in my 14s Logo 700XX with 760mm blades. I had to really push the limits. It doesn't happen during my normal flying.

The Kosmiks still have the upper hand when it comes to wire management design. I can make the wires any length I want without altering the ESC itself. The newer ESCs from other brands only let you customize the BEC/RPM/Telemetry wires, but offer no easy option to customize the battery or motor wires.

The Kosmiks also have an extremely reliable track record over the long haul. The direct to SD card logging and ease of setup is still best in class.

I really like the wiring setup and non-exposed capacitors as well.

+1, Fan Boys will keep them afloat but like you I'll go Scorpion for any future ESC/Motor needs.
The shipping back, waiting for them to finally look it over only to tell you it needs replaced is what's killed it for me.

I like the built-in anti-spark Kontronik has too.

At the time I bought my 3 Kosmiks they were the only HV ESC that had a reliable BEC. Anything without an integrated BEC was a deal breaker. For me it was all about the convenience of not having to charge a separate rx pack or have the extra weight of an rx pack or a separate BEC. Now we have Scorpion in the game I would give them some serious consideration but I'm not in need of a new ESC right now

i use cool 200 for speed run with 14S, i am on limit of weigh with 14S, so i can not go to 16S, but with Graphene , i can use 220 to 260A , so Cool 200 sometime go in security mode.

With YGE320, start is very bad , no BEC and a lot of BUG in firmware, low quality and bad service if problems.

So Scopion 300A with bec is my futur !!!

Not sure yet if my setr up is wrong but with Scorpion I had to go higher gear on my second TDR to get close to the same headspeed that I get with a 13T and the Jive.

So not too happy with Scorpion in that regard as no higher gear (above 15T) is available that would give me wahat I want.
