Default 470LT

I just finished building my 470 today. I noticed they don't have a prepunched hole for pinning the boom. I only maidened it today. It's my first 380 sized heli. I was surprised at how little pitch it took to put it in the air. Only flew a few circles, pitch pumps and slow piros out front of the house. First time using a spirit fbl too. Thankfully both went well. I need to get the boom pinned before flying it much. I am also planning to ditch the align esc most likely for a HW 60. I didn't like the spoolup kick the align had taking off from concrete.

Always a relief when the maiden goes well, didn't like the spool up kick either and chose to go with a cc Phoenix lite 50a esc / cc bec 2.0. Super smooth spool up now, good luck with your new heli.

I'm using the HW 60a ESC too. I like it because I can use brain gov with it and it has a great BEC.

Congrats on the successful maiden

470 LT boom has a relief cutout in the boom as well as a long alignment pin molded into the plastic boom mount. I know what your saying though, I used to always pin my booms on the 450 and 600 helis i have owned in the past. But my 470LT boom has never twisted like my 450 pro use to.
Also the kick with the align esc is annoying but actually the gov really holds the rpm's quite well.
