I have three, love them for backyard flying as they are so light and nimble. A couple with kbars, one with a beast. Two have stock servos one has KST-113s, which are a fantastic fit and replacement. All are flying on Lynx plastic blades which are fairly crash proof. If you haven't already, check the head dampers, they don't last very long. Lynx has some upgrades but they are getting hard to find. That reminds me, I gotta order a few more frames, I'm pretty sure those will be first to be discontinued.

I have two, both with quite a bit of time on them.

I have had to replace a couple of cyclic servos and one tail servo (tail servo is now a JR on that machine).

Both have KBDD Tail Blades, which improved the tail hold greatly.

Other than that, they are still stock.

I will upgrade them to DMSS at some point, but I will have to replace the AR7200BX's at that time (probably with BeastX's).

I'm still loving mine too with 5 years of use so far. It is my main back yard flyer and it just flies very predictably and reliably.

The current reliability is probably due to the fact that over the years I've upgraded all the electronics as before I did have a couple of crashes due to some servo failures.

My current setup is:
Blade 300X
HiTec HS5084 tail servo
Savoy 0257 cyclic servos
parkfly motor 2632 with 11t
Hobbywing 50A V3
Align 450 XL tail hub and grips
relocate AR7200 to top
lynx frame stiffener
lynx main and tail blades

and I love my "Monster" canopy!

Couldn't resist...

So I did the red accent on the horiz fin...

Just to make it blend in with the red color scheme...

Canopy - boom supports - tail fin - tail blades - and the iKON FBL

(I just might come up with an idea for the main blades too)

Welcome to the club Jon.
I'll post my 2 setups when I get home.
Are those the original woodies you have on yours? If so, there was an addendum way back when regarding HS with them, if I recall correctly.
The Align 450 pro tail hub and grips are a must IMO, unless you like chasing tail vibrations.

The plastic covering on one of the woody blades de-laminated in flight on my 300x. Really bunches the shorts, but managed to set it down safely. After seeing what was under the covering, I'd say "unsafe at any speed". CF blades ever since.

After looking over My 300X spare parts...

I couldn't resist ordering a MicroHeli CF / CNC Gold combo today...

The doing-nothing-at-the-moment Lynx 6S motor should bring it to life in grand style...even if I have to use an extra 450X canopy to facilitate the larger batteries

Have a 300X that has the Robird G31 FBL on it, was wondering if I can replace that with a AR636 or a 636A FBL so I can clean up the bird. I got this one off E-Bay several years ago and didnt have the BeastX on it.

Thanks All
Kelly in San Antonio

I use the iKON FBL on all My larger heli's...

It takes a bit to get used to the setup process...but once you've nailed down the how-to and why-for details it's a simple process

And tuning the iKON is much easier...the 636 doesn't have much adjustability

The MicroHeli build is almost completed...today the gold washers for the frame arrive so I can tighten everything up

A few parts still needed...those are on the way then the iKON install

The Robird FBL works very well and the only reason to replace it was to have a combo unit instead of 2. What receiver are you using Jon? I have a AR6100e in mine.

All My iKON's have the Spektrum satellite...

In nearly every case it's mounted under the frame between the skids...

I use FBL tape and a zip-tie to insure it won't come loose...and add a couple layers of shrink tubing to keep the wires straight

Just built and flew for the first time a total Lynx "red devil" edition over the weekend. I believe the only thing that's Blade on it is the stock landiing gear

Smooth as silk......you can definitely feel "oxys older brother" all over it.

I have another thats 75 percent stock that ive flown for about 3 years. Theres two 300cfx on my wall rack as well. This size is nice for backyard and park flying.

Getting Hard To Find?
Should that read IMPOSSIBLE to find, or do you know something I do not know, yakky?
Any information on a source of supply of Lynx head dampers (dampeners?) for the 300X would be much appreciated.
I thought I had tracked some down in Europe but when I managed to translate the information on the retailers website they were out of stock.

Got a couple flights on My stock 300X today in Grand Forks...before the breeze got too crazy

Took the tail gain down about 8 TX points and its nice and solid now

You do know that the 300X was the stimulus for the Oxy...right?

I've got 3 300-sizes so far...(and a fourth under way) without any of the setup trouble I had with the O3+ You now own

The stock is using Lynx 4S...the MH 300X build is on Lynx 6S...the 360CFX is using a 3S Turnigy...and the 4th will get 3S Scorpion
