Default Blueline support SRXL???

Does the old 5.3 full size Vbar support SRXL single line protocol?

Nearly all single line protocols are supported, but have not seen anywhere that they support SRXL, but if the Spektrum serial communications support UDI then it will work as VBar has support for UDI. Otherwise just use Spektrum satellites

I haven't seen anything either from Mikado. Nothing on their website which looks like it hasn't been updated in years.

I'm thinking of using the Spektrum AR7700 single line receiver. It does output either SRXL or Remote receiver output.

It would be nice to know if either of those are supported by Vbar Blue.

I suspect it probably would support the Remote receiver single line output from the AR7700 but would it connect to the Aux input or Sat input??

Single line connections are all through AUX 1

i do have several birds flying with AR7700 connected to VBar Silverline or VBar Mini. all are connected the same way: AR7700 Remote RX => Sat (RX1) on vbar. config on VBar side like with spektrum sat.

you have to solder a simple cable for this: ground/signal *only* to be connected.... no + (!!! connecting it could burn the RX1 on vbar)

to power up the AR7700 a second connection is necessary: ground/plus (no signal) from any vbar connector to AR7700.

=> working great with TM1000 + JLog32 in my case. could not be happier

Ciao
Michael

Hallo Michael,

That is really good news. Thanks for the tip about not connecting the power wire when connected to Sat input.

Out of interest, did you ever try connecting the AR7700 (Remote receive cable all three wires) directly to the (AUX 1, Sliverline, RX C, Mini) pins of the VBAR instead of the Sat input on the VBar?

Cheers
Squib

i tried once directly when the AR7700 got available... did not "immediately" work, so i connected RX1 and did not spend further time trying. based on experience reports in German forums this was the only way at this time (late '15/early'16)...

Ciao
Michael
