Default Programing Sab esc with radio?

I heard Bert kammerer mention that you can program the esc using the radio gumball. Does anyone have any info on this? I already got rid of my hobby wing program card a long time ago. Is the esc pre programmed in fixed endpoints from the factory?

You’ll need to set the endpoints - that is the one thing required, for any other modification a prog card is needed. The ESC is preprogrammed for an onboard gov that works well enough out of the box. At some point though, you will likely need the card.

Correct. The transmitter is used to set the end points; high stick and low stick. As I best understand it, you need the HW Programing Box to adjust the parameters (BEC voltage, motor timing, motor rotation, governor type, etc.)

Ok. So I took the 280 out to a park to run at 50% throttle for a couple minutes this morning. It spools up fine for about 30 seconds then the rpms drop out, raise back up and drop out. Grrrr need help in northern Virginia

Initial spool up in gov store should be %50 throttle for about 15-20 seconds.Spool down, cut throttle and set your bank 1-2 headspeeds and your good to go.. your endpoints should be higher then 50% in both banks..
