Default Goblin 500 on Hobbywing 80a V4?

I know there are a lot of variables but do you think I could fly the Goblin 500 on the Hobbywing 80a V4 esc? The 120 seems like overkill.

In the end it's going to depend on what motor you choose. But unless you are flying 3d, moderate to hard, I would think this would be ok for sport flying and mild 3d. The goblin 500 is heavy, so you'll want to watch hard pitch pumps.

Aside from the unreliable telemetry data available with the jump to V4 I see no reason at all to NOT stick with the silly cheap 100A v3 HW for the 500. I have a 100v3 in my 500 and utilize an amp sensor for my radio. It never complains and does much more than I ask of it paired with a XNOVA 4020 and plulse 5000 lipos. I have 3 120 V4s in various helis and only 2 read reasonably accurate current so if thats what you were after then consider your options.

Off subject i know. But the 500sport actually builds up lighter than a Synergy 516(with comparable gear). Synergy markets the 516 as a lightweight 500. So what gives?
