There will always be an acceptable failure rate for any product. Forums tend to gather info from the few failures that happen, BUT not the thousands out there working perfectly.

Some of you will remember the Castle ESC's fire problem, that the company stood by it's products and fixed it was really commendable. If there was any problem with the Scorpion ESC's then Scorpion would have issued a statement themselves. This thread was started by someone that posted and ran, not the Helifreak way of doing things.

Personally have found ZERO problems with mine and the many we have around our area. There have been no communications from Scorpion regarding this so I will continue use these ESC's with BEC on all my models.

A backup power supply is always a good idea on valuable models.
Freeskiken and aziz76 like this.

Yes on a SebArt Katana with 5 brushless sevos and 10S. Works really well with Scorpion S5028 220KV FAI motor. Using the internal BEC and ZERO problems.

I must confess that I have already three smoked units; two were replaced by Scorpion/ the distributor (WOH) and the third one is still in repair since nine weeks at Scorpion. The distributor confirmed to me personally that the current model is out of stock and a new version is launched at the end of June/early July (they said a while ago). For what it's worth.
