Default AccuRC 2.0.6 Released!

AccuRC 2.0.6 is released and available through Steam!

Let us start by saying that this update is larger than anything we've ever done before. It is packed to the brim with new content and features, as well as a ton of optimizations. And the best thing is, this update is completely free of charge!

Large parts of the simulator have been rewritten to boost performance through the roof and to reduce input latency to the absolute minimum, so much that AccuRC 2.0.6 will run 60FPS in 1080p on Intel HD4000 graphics with no issues and no noticeable lag whatsoever. We managed to almost double the physics FPS compared to 2.0.5, which means that 2.0.6 will easily run on an dual core 3GHz processor.

AccuRC 2.0.6 was a huge project and redefined the simulator that AccuRC is. With this leaner, meaner and faster platform, we're expecting to be able to do amazing things in the future. As a little preview, 2.0.7 will focus a lot on adding new helicopters, quadcopters, training modes, StickMover integration and much more to look forward to.

Last but not least, we'd like to thank our amazing community for their feedback, testing, contributions, suggestions, and support. We couldn't have done it without you.

Here's what changed since 2.0.5:

Greatly improved overall performance:
  • PFPS increased by up to 100%
  • Decoupled graphics from physics FPS
  • Loading times significantly shortened
  • Graphics performance increased
  • Framerate smoothed significantly, now runs stutter free without VSync
  • Reduced controller latency to absolute minimum (sim viably flyable at 30fps now)
New Models:
  • SAB Goblin 700 KSE
  • MSH Protos Nitro
VR support:
  • AccuRC now supports all popular VR headsets through SteamVR
  • Select “Play VR” from the Steam start options when hitting "Play”
Training modes:
  • Added hover training for different orientations
Sound:
  • New engine sounds for several models, especially Goblin 700 KSE and LOGO 700
  • Proper triblade sounds for 3 bladed rotors
  • More depth and load dependency to tail rotor sounds
  • Better low rpm main rotor sounds
  • New crash sound for helicopters, sampled from a real KSE (don’t ask)
  • New & Improved Car sounds
Miscellaneous optimizations:
  • Added a No Disc Blur Mode which leaves the rotors unblurred
  • Added Fly/Workbench buttons to model select menu
  • Multiplayer now works better than ever before
  • Renamed FBL presets to the flying styles they suit
  • Canopy Hue change Feature added
  • All default setups reworked and improved (applies to NEW heli from the hangar ONLY)
  • Recalculated drag values for all helis (they fly faster now)
  • Sharpened control response of all default setups
New components:
  • RotorTech 700mm Ultimate Blades
  • Rail 96, 106, 116mm
  • EDGE SE / Switch 72mm
  • SAB 70mm
  • OS 105, HZ, HZ-R
  • OS Power Boost 105
  • MRCI 105
  • KST MS 2208 HV, MS 3012 HV, MS 1035 HV
  • SAB 6S 2100 50C, 3100 50C, 4200 50C, 5250 50C, 4800 50C
  • Compass RAGE 4219, 4928, 4928 CS
  • Rotortech 63mm, 93mm, 96mm, 106mm, 116mm Tail Blades
  • 3Blade sets: SAB 690 TB, Zeal Energy 690, Helix 695, Rotortech 690

Exceptionally good work.

Really a significant update in many areas and a huge help for ppl like me who want to use it on not so great hardware.

For 2.0.7, it would be great if fixed wings could see some love. At the moment they are in kind of a sad state.

FW overhaul is planned for the future, not quite for 2.0.7, but it's not too far off

You can simply switch to "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs", or you can just stay there as currently alpha, beta and release are identical

Is the release build different then the current beta build ?

I'm running 2.0.6 build 280418.

Flown this morning online:
it was the first time I was acutally in session with someone, but the software was acting up. I never really had soo much going wrong.

- my heli model was fubared ( tail rotor mid tail , tail control rod , sticking half way out , canopy pointing downwards) , reset or another model didn't help at all.
- could hover a heli like a tank ( I could blade scrap the full lenght of the field )
- sound was really 'jumpy' online. 'jerky' when others cam flying passed ( silent heli coming flying by and the suddenly loud, then more silent again.
- extremely lagged on joins (to the point ppl just crashed)
- laggy on crashes of others.
- in the hangar when you click colors of the Max model, you get the 3 colors of the module , but they are just the first 3 colors in the colors lineup , red give you yellow, white give red , and then orange gives purple.

and can you please add a 'no session' found item when you can not find sessions ?
before today , I didn't even knew online did actually work, because I never saw anyone online and when I created a session none joined.

Thanks for the new release. It looks great!!

The new sound is a real improvement - especially when you crash a lot . In the beta there was also a new sound for the tail, but I can't hear it so clearly now. Is it gone?

A minor thing is a glitch on the tails on the two Goblin Thunder helis. It appears when I make piroettes.
And another thing is the short flash that shows after a crash and the heli restarts. Perhaps something could be done for this.

Thanks again for this update

Awesome update. Love the 2 new models, and nitro sounds fantastic. PFPS on my rig went from about 2000 pfps to well over 3000. Graphics framerate is very stable with smooth (butter smooth animation) with all settings at Ultra (previous version was good, this just seems better). Seems locked at 60 fps with vsync disabled (both in accurc and NVIDIA control panel). Not a problem, but would love to run at higher framerate to match monitor refresh rate.

Did notice a small graphics bug on the Protos N. The main gear has a wobble as if it's rotation axis is offset from the main shaft. It is not noticeable when flying, just on the ground so not big problem, just looks interesting.

In this latest update, the right landing gear skid tube on the Synergy E7 is rotated 90 degrees (i.e. it's pointing out instead of up).

Update: Looks like it was resolved in the latest patch!

After a recent windows update my PFPS settings have gone down from the near 2000 range to 400. I am leaving soon for Sunday and want to bring the sim, but won't have internet access to update the program. Is there a big fix coming soon? Thisbhapoened several months ago and an update fixed it.

Can you check your power settings please, make sure its set to performance rather than balanced.

I did that. Also going to try something tonight and uncheck the full screen option, maybe that will help.

Tried toggling all of the settings, still low PFPS and I am in the 30 FPS range. My screen is 60hz and I have my NVIDIA set to use the NVIDIA graphic card rather than the CPU. I have everything in the computer power cranked to performance, but even tried lowering the sim settings. Even when changing from 4k to 2k I had low PFPS. Ran another sim and things were just fine, so my computer is functioning normal. Just something about the recent windows update is not playing well with Accurc, because the sim was wonderful before the update. Just sending this out to help because the sim always runs great.

I saw on a site that there were Reddit reports of Nvidia & Windows 1803 not playing well. Try going to your Geoforce Experience app and seeing if there are new drivers.

edit: latest version for my 1060 was May 24....

I just simmed today and discovered my 120 fps has dropped to about 75 fps. Something the spring update did, I'm guessing.
