Finally had a chance to get my kit together. This being my first MSH heli, and coming from building & flying most every size of goblin, the super tight frame design took a bit of getting used to, but the fit & finish of the kit is amazing. The PowerBus at least for me is a must-have accessory, as I strive for perfect wiring jobs. It still took a bit of planning & careful wire routing, but overall I'm quite pleased with the way the heli turned out. I managed to keep every wire inside the frame and out of sight, and didn't even have to shorten any servo leads. I was also able to wire up the Hobbywing for full telemetry, using a custom length servo extension. Lastly, I added some aluminum washers just to add some style to the frame.

This thing climbs like a rocket. I was honestly a tad startled. Very neat.

It sure does. Being fairly light for its size class it tends to be a rocket even with a moderate power system and head speed.

Broke the 200 flight mark today, first snow here for us so just had to get out! Fingers went numb, came back home, worth it.

Since you gave me so much input and the pictures helped me a lot for my build, i thought i would share some pics of my finished first kit and thank you for your help.

A little wiring.

I also took a pic of my antennas, maybe its helpful to anybody.

Now i just have to wait for spares, so that i can fly this beauty again.

Thanks.
I cant do any advanced maneuvers and dont have much experience nor do i have a real comparison to the rotor techs since i just test hovered them. However i like the rapids, they seem to be a bit more responsive to pitch, the sound is great, with the yellow "R" visbility is much better and makes life easier for me.

In adition they seem to be very tough.
I grounded the heli 2 times by now, 1 crash included a boom strike, but i cant see any problems with the blades.

I dont know if they have any impact on flight time, but with figure 8s @ 2300rpm i am in the range of 8-9 minutes. (80% capa telemetry)

Me too, espacially the yellow "R" as mentioned above. Its easier to learn with.

Thanks a lot. Yes this place is truly wonderful, the trees are giving some sort of wind protection and on a clear day i can see the alps.
The best thing is that the echo resonance is great there and so the protos feels realy big.
My college flew his Tres500 there and his first impression was "WTF its loud" .

I need to get some colored skids those looks pretty easy to see. Wonder how the yellow would go with my orange canopy.

The boys finished building their Christmas present and took it out for their first flights over the weekend. They are super excited!

Edit: for some reason the pic won't upload. Will try again later.
