Default Trex 700E Tail servo mounting issues

I just got my first 700. I went to install servos and had no problems until I got to the tail. I have a Futaba bls251 tail servo. When I put it into the mount it is a little taller than the mount. When I put it up onto the from the servo wire hits the frame before it can mount up flush. I have been wary of bending the servo wire up along the servo body as it seems like an extreme angle for the wire. Any help you guys could give a neewbie that is freeeeeked out about jacking up their new servo and possibly heli would be appreciated. Thanks

Use a Dremel and/or file to cut a square slot out of the frame for clearance.

I would add some servo spacers under the servo mounting tabs to raise it up in the mount enough that the wire doesn't interfere with the frame. I think this is a better solution than to go attacking a brand new pristine helicopter with a dremel tool. If you have some spare servo mounting plates you could use those, or check the RC car section at Amain or wherever for purpose made spacers. They often come in sets with 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm etc. thickness spacers.

I would dremel it. You are going to hurt anything. I had to dremel my frame for my main gear on the right side yesterday.

Why when the spacers will work just fine without hacking up the frame?

I had to add a spacer and dremel the frame because they made the main gear slightly wider. Too keep the mesh proper, I couldn't add any more spacers. Spacers only work to an extent in some cases.

I was referring to the tail servo issue though.

As I said in some cases, just used it as an example.
