Angry 380 Tail Belt Tensioner threaded wrong?

Attempting to screw the pin that holds the spring into the tail belt tensioner, but it seems the threads are wrong size. The spring mobile pin support will not screw into the belt tensioner. Like the threaded hole is too small. Anybody else have that problem? I'm so ticked off I'm thinking about just drilling the hole out and just gluing the screw into place with some jb weld...

This has been a known issue. I had to tap mine because there were no threads. If the hole is on the small side on your part then you may have to drill to correct size and then tap it.

They can send you the correct part. It happened to a few of us. I'd guess a hung-over parts maker at the factory.

When I bought mine they sent an extra one that was correct in the packing box, it was in the packing box not the Heli box I almost through it away till I remembered the email saying it was in the box then I went out to the trash and retrieved it (whew). This was over a year ago and from mshusa direct so if you purchased from somewhere else they may not know about the recall part. If itís a new kit I bet if you contact msh with receipt they will send you one.

I got my kit from Only Fine Helis several months ago and just recently started building it.

I found the problem last night and ordered a new part right then. Got the shipping email this morning!

So the part should arrive soon and hopefully it will work!
