Default CGY760 Ordered

Well, I ordered one of these this week. I plan to drop it on a nitro first. I am currently running iKON 2s, so I also ordered both types of RPM sensors (backplate and magnet).

Hopefully the Synergy N566 gets released soon as that's what I would like to put it on. If I really like it I might move over to a fully Futaba setup on my larger helis.

My biggest issue with the current FBL systems I own is lack of ability to program the settings through the transmitter. I'm on the brink of getting the 16SZ and CGY760 if they work together to eliminate the need for the programming box.

Futaba website indicates the following but I don't know what it means.

Quote:
Wireless parameter tuning through the Tx RF protocol
EDIT: Found my answer on the PDF manual for the 760.

Quote:
Connect the transmitter to the Gyro Program Box GPB-1 [with a special cable] and use the transmitter to transfer the settings of GPB-1 to the CGY760R wirelessly.

In the initial release of the CGY-760r we may use the GPB-1 plugged into the trainer port to program the 760 wirelessly.
There is a planned free update for the 16SZ, 18SZ, and 18MZ to allow wireless programming from the transmitter without using the GPB-1.

Ive been running the CGY760R for a month and its definitely a step up from the 750. I copied the settings over from the 750 and left the gyro gains stock. Just need them to update the tx software so it is all done from th 18sz screen 🤔

A step up in what way? Clutter? Flying? Feel of the control?

Sorry, should have elaborated more on that but I was at work.

The control feeling is more direct and accurate. The piro comp is also another improvement.

Maxwell did a great job sorting this out before it hit the market.

I don't believe pilots, witch are sponsored.
What advantages 760 has over VBC with neo?
I love futaba, but I don't know why I need CGY 760. Futaba didn't present its product. I haven't seen info about telemetry integration with ESC like kontronik or HW, info about setup from radio like spectrum+brain.
I have sk540, It flies well, I don't think that CGY 760 will improve my skills to fly better
IMO

Most of top pilots using neo. Kyle Stacy have vbc
GLOBAL3D

Futaba lost the market like nokia. Instead of fbl witch can compete with vbc futaba made fbl with datapod for 400$

Well 95% are sponsored vBar pilots. So what else would they fly?

With helis, competition has pretty much zero influence on what guys are buying. What guys fly at your field has a lot more influence.

I agree. But there are a lot of pilots witch ordered neo with own money. VBC + neo is a great product with many cool features. There are many vbc users at our fields. They told, that it is very conveniently.
