Default What Would Be A Good Servo Horn for 570

Manual is recommending the spacing on the ball for swash servos to be between 16 and 18mm. I found one horn that had a hole at 16.5 mm but they are 12 bucks each.
I'm using standard size servos with 25T. Any suggestions?

I use the SAB ones on all my builds. They have a marked 18mm swash ball mount. They have a "break away" design and have saved servo gears on several crashes.
$17 for all four

I use Secraft Aluminum servo horns. They make ones that have a hole right at 17mm, made specifically for use with Goblin helis. They are also designed with a "breakaway" style to bend or break in the event of a crash - to prevent servo damage. They are a tight fit on servos - so much so that they sell a puller tool to make removal easier. Looks and performance wise - I haven't found anything better.

Glad you chimed in, I ordered a set of these as well. I like the look plus the 17mm hole. Perfect! Not easy to find if you dont know where to look.
Thank You!
Never ordered from AH. Are they reliable? Good Service?

I have also had nothing but EXCELLENT customer service with AnythingHeli.

VERY proactive customer service. Called me because a single letter was misspelled on my address compared to what came up in their system, and they wanted to make sure it didn't cause any issues.

Funny you mentioned this. Dave contacted me today. He let me know my address was missing some imformation that could send my package to the wrong address. Got it sorted out.
Best service I've had so far.

You should see my pile of bent Secraft servo saver arms, from AnythingHeli. Still have two gearsets for my servos in the package, havn't a need to use them yet.

"Pile" I hope I don't end up with a pile of them. But it's nice to know they save servos

Well, so far my experience with SeCraft servo horns for the cyclic didn't go to well. The splines on the cyclic horns would not engage the spline on the servo shaft. I tried over and over to get them to spline up, but it wasn't going to happen. The splines look defective.
Different story on the Secraft horn for the tail servo. Splines look good and engaged the splines with little effort.
I decided to use the plastic SAB horns. These horns have a 15, 18, and 21mm spacing.
I was hoping to use the Secraft cyclic horns with 17mm spacing.
SAB, from what I have read, says 18mm is the best spacing for 500 through 700 size helis that are FBL
I'm curious what spacing most pilots use? Is 17mm better or 18m or is there a noticable difference in performance, depending on which spacing you use?

Yes the seacraft servo arms do go on very tightly they must be driven on with the screw and pulled off with the small puller that seacraft sells. A little dab of grease helps.

Fitting tight is one thing. Getting splines to line up so they can go on at all is where I'm at.

I used an old servo and used the servo screw to draw the arm on the servo.. and of course, the tool to take it off ..each arm I had to do it a few times, then it went on easily. I think the anodizing messes up the splines. couple times on/off, good to go.

I realized today that the SAB horn on my G570s was rubbing the Swash anti-rotation plate...so I went to trim it and accidentally cut off too much.

Now I have 4 more horns on the way, along with a REX 3 and yellow/red canopy for my G380. Sigh!

[QUOTE=HammerFest93;7590764]I realized today that the SAB horn on my G570s was rubbing the Swash anti-rotation plate...

I had the same problem and also this
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=807342
This is my first SAB build and I'm kind of wondering why I'm running into these mechanical interference issues?
I'm following the manuals required specs for servo mounting
Is the 570 not quite designed for full size servos?
