Default uspirit integration with r-xsr receiver?

i know it will work with an x4r but i cant figure out how id wire it with an r-xsr. i can solder, but nor sure it will work because there is no separate pwm channel

Edit: looks like I can have basic telemetry but not full on integration because of not having the separate channel

You have the s-bus wire for servo control and so on. If i remember correctly, the green wire should be s.port which you need for telemetry and integration.
The thing is you have to split voltage (+5V Red) and Gnd (Black) so you have one servo adapter with - + sBus and another with - + s.Port.

rereading, it sounds like it would work but I have to splice pos and neg from the signal wire and use that with the smartport wire to make another 3 wire service plug, I think....

Yes exactly, with this it is the same as the X4R-SB.
If you look at this receiver it has + - SBus on a normal servo connector and at the side it has the little white molex connector, again with + - and S.Port the fourth wire is just an analog in, which you wont need.

BTW the manual of both receivers is showing you the pin outs.

Edit: Because its easier to setup i decided to go with X4 intead of the R-XSR.

FYI

It does work with full telemetry and integration, I had one on my Mini Comet.

You do have to make a harness to wire up the SPort to the FrSky integration cable.

Good to know, I didn't get an integration cable because I thought it was just a splitter and it was full size servo connectors, is it just a splitter Or is it something I cant make myself?

If you are talking about the integration wire, i think you cant make it yourself.

I emailed Thomas at Spirit, he said there are 6 microchips in the cable so looks like I can't make it myself. I shouldn't have trying to be cheap. I ordered another one but now it's back ordered for a few days
Thomas was really helpful, here is the xsr wiring diagram he gave me

I have my RXS-R set up on my Oxy2, made a custom harness to connect the Integration cable to my uSpirit and it’s working sweet.

Just curiously, is it possible to add additional sensors to this setup. Specifically a main battery voltage sensor?

I understand that for a normal telemetry setup, you just daisy chain the sensors amd connect via the smartport, but not sure if this would be possible running an intergration cable...

It is, but spirit has to be the last one in your chain, because it has no signal pass through.

My G700 is setup like this with a GPS sensor.

The SmartPort from the RX goes to the SmartPort on the GPS sensor as proximity makes a nice short run. Conveniently the GPS Sensor has a second set of pins which is where I plug an extension in that ultimately plugs into the Spirit integration cable.

Default uspirit integration with r-xsr receiver?

I’m having trouble figuring out the wiring of the integration cable.

Here is the diagram referenced above:

Here is the cable I received:

I take it the white cable plugs into the ‘SYS’ port on my uSpirit.

What about the other end:

There are three cables - orange, red, and brown. The diagram only shows two wires - yellow and red.

I’m guessing it is red = red, orange = yellow and the brown wire goes unused.

Thanks for the help.

that is correct, red is 5v power, orange is telemetry signal, brown is ground which you dont have to connect. you will need to solder two red wires together to one red wire, they tend to all fall apart when you put solder to them, best to twist two together first, solder them then touch the third wire to them (and dont forget to put heat shrink on before soldering) i think i put all three ground wires together too but obviously you dont have to. anytime you want to use it with the software on the computer you'll need to unplug this wire and plug in the usb one to the sys port. i put a short piece of heatshrink around the end of the white socket and wire to act as a handle because i went back and forth a lot during the setup process and its hard to get at once tucked away.

Hey mate it's super simple. Just look at the original diagram and work out which wires you need to connect.

I removed the shrink wrap off the telemetry cable and de-soldered the factory wires so I could make my own to the correct length for my wiring layout.

The top left goes to Sbus (Rud) port, the top right to the Sys port and bottom plug into Rxs-R

My little harness fits and works perfectly. (",)
