Default VX1n Gasser gov

I just bought a whiplash g2 from a friend and I installed a vx1n on it. In the setup menu the is an option for a gasser gov. I already have a spartan mag sensor on engine. All I have setup are the e gov's and I just run straight throttle curves in my tx. When I do that on the gasser it over speeds like crazy. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
Kerry

Most likely a wrong setting in the governor setup. How many magnets do you have it set to, and what gear ratio?

Gear ratio is 6.88. I set it up for one magnet being it is sending the flywheel magnet

I have a VX1 on a gasser using a nitro type sensor to pick up the flywheel magnet and it works great. In fact it's one of the best IC govs I have used.

I think mine is a previous firmware though and does not have a specific gasser setting.

Anyway, I can tell you all the settings in mine if you'd like. I am using a NextD sensor which picks up the magnet at a spot just under the exhaust. The heli is a converted Raptor E700, Hanson 300 engine.

In general though, you need to setup curves rather than a flat % like you'd have for electric.
