Default I forgot a cool feature!

Completely forgot you can adjust any parameter in the Brain2 with telemetry. Just adjusted rpm ranges on the gov using the tx methud. Awesome. Great for fast field changes/ testing.

Really an awesome system. Duh moment....

now i guess that alone would make the 2 worth it..

maybe with me flying the Ikon on the Oxy2 will make me like them again. and maybe i will fly them from now on on other helis. if i end up liking this heli i might get a oxy 3 or 4 later

Brain2 and ikon2 are amazing. Full telemetry for dirt cheap.
Phone app with Bluetooth setups and adjustments or, pc setup with all adjustments and now tx too.

Great governor. Easy to use and setup.
Easy to adjust the tail too.

I'll probably never spend that on a radio or receiver. Too many helis to convert over. I'd go vbar if anything.

Trust me, it is well worth it to go to Jeti.

DS-12 from Jeti coming out late spring/early summer (awaiting certification). Fully unlocked for all the features a bit over a grand. Used DS-16 getting cheaper too. More than enough radios for helis.

I've also toyed with the idea of trying the DS12, but the price of conversion, lack of tiny receivers, and that ZB guy all keep popping into my head and stopping me.

I'm hoping that MSHE will release better OpenTX integration in the not too distant future, but like TF, I use the tuning channels. Mainly for tail I gain which seems to be one of the best bang for the buck for me.

Yes, that ZB guy . I've never been ZB'ed, but I've seen some get it. Esprit has pretty much treated me well, but YMMV.

Lack of tiny receivers? I have an r5l in a Gaui x2. It's barely larger than a dsmx satellite, and it's a 5 Channel full receiver

Don't you need a REX receiver to get the integration? Since I'm not in the system, I'm not as read up on it as I probably could be.

But I'm referring to something like this one in size for micros.

No, only issue with smaller helis isn't the receiver but the esc. I just don't have current telemetry. I have all other telemetry.

REX just allows you to add more telemetry items (mui current sensor for example) but with a little X2 I'm happy with battery voltage.

Bigger 500 and up, your esc will handle current sensing. Although you may as well run the REX7 with a bigger heli...

18 channels on sbus and full range with two antennas and s.port for telemetry. About the same size as my thumbnail.

Far cry from the old JR or Futaba FM receivers of old.

Truly amazing tech now days.

WOW that is very tiny.
We have some very very nice radio systems available these days, its just hard for me to switch brands I have so many Rx's and have had great luck with my Spek.. I really want the IX9. No there is no such thing but the IX12 is great I think ( i never used one) I wish they would make a 9 channel version of it.

I thought about an IX12, but the Horus are very capable and for the price. I can live without the touch screen and Android interface for a while.

I really like the fit of the X12S in my ape-like mitts as well. Wasn't impressed by the diminutive stature of the IX12.

I found a nice Jeti TX here in the classifieds for cheap! (way less than an ix12 - I almost went that route) Sooo glad I didn't. My biggest expense was upgrading receivers but well worth it for what I get! I also went ahead a ordered a couple rex3's from the UK - after holding them next to the US approved REX7, It's a toss up if that was worth it or not...

I almost went the Horus route as well until I found the deal I got on my Jeti.

I found a NIB X12S for $355 on RCG. Sometimes they are as low as $325 for lightly used.
Most used IX12s were $530-600. NIB is usually made it just as easy to buy new over the counter.

Oh very nice, Well i did just find one for $489.99
I used to have a Taranis and HATED it. i flew like two planes with it that was all i could figure out how to get to work, loved it cause it would play music and i love to fly to music but i finally sold it to a buddy and got myself a DX8 cause wanted one for years.

I do like the top screen mount. and wow that is a very nice screen. I do have a ton of Spek stuff, well that is all i fly lot of BNF stuff not sure how hard is to get a module to work with that tx.

I might have to keep a eye out on classifieds for one.

So many choices for transmitters, and now almost everything receives telemetry. I love my Jeti. The way that it integrates with my Brain2 FBLs is terrific. Also, love the way that it integrates with my Scorpion ESCs. I have not even begun the scratch the surface yet though on so many features of this TX.

If you wait a few months until after the DS12 is shipped, I bet that there will be some DS14s at a terrific used price.
