Default New 200 SRX owner -- expectations

Just getting back into the hobby and have been flying a Nano CPS with a DX6 black Gen3 TX. I'm doing mostly just sport flying around the yard to help with my orientation skills but also just purchased a 2nd hand 200SRX from another board member here. I was wondering if theres any known issues with this bird or whats good to have around for spare parts? I think the prev. owner has already installed the extra ESC for the tail motor.

Any other tips/tricks are much appreciated.

A pair of 8 degree blades give the 200 a little more punch, other than that just fly & enjoy.

Pardon for my question, but why do you downgrade from a collective pitch heli (NanoCPX, NanoCPS, NanoCP S2) to a Fixed Pitch heli (Blade 200SRX, Blade200s)??

You could already train your reflexes correctly hitting the hold (throttle cut) switch or the rescue switch (if you use the later Nano boards).

If you want to fly outside, it definitely helps if you run the motor in stunt mode (constant throttle, best with a governor) and to have negative pitch -3 to -4 degree available to be able to fight against the wind.

The next logical step - after a good SIM and Nano training - would IMHO have been the Blade 230s V2 (collective pitch) or a bigger CP heli model (e.g 450).

I will see in April/Mai how the XK K110 (60g, BL, 1s, CP) flys.

There are other helis out like Lynx Oxy2 or Oxy3 if a 450 model (325-380mm blades) is too big for you.

I did the reverse in 2012:
I hovered and flew the Blade 4503D (flybar) until I crashed it in the 3rd turning curve and after I had good training with the Nano outdoors and in the (triple) gym I suddenly could also fly the 450 CP heli (new transmitter programming settings, complete new mechanical setup) in 2015.
