Default Ikon2 buy or no buy

Hello everyone!

I am looking for a flybarless system to use with a size 500 heli.
I have always used Mikado flybarless systems (mostly because the friend who introduced me to rc heli used that) but recently I had so many people suggesting me not to focus only on Mikado and to try the Ikon2 instead(none of them use it tho, to be precise).

So I'd like to hear opinions from people who use it.
Should I buy it? If yes, why?

Thanks

Not knocking Mikado but if your going that route you need to go all in. But if your going to use Spekrum or Futaba transmitter Ikon is agreat unit. Obviously the support, ease of setup- app walks you through it.

If you use VControl, you should stick with Mikado, but with any other brand of transmitter, you can't go wrong with a Brain. Internal logging, telemetry and integration with a wide variety of transmitters, low cost, continual updates, and all features included in the base price. Can't go wrong.

Thanks guys for all the replies!!
I have both a Vbar Control and a Taranis X9D Plus (currently used only for mini/micro heli). I was planning to use Taranis (x8r receiver) and Ikon2, mostly because the 500 size heli is second hand and I usually keep all new stuff with the Vbar and all used stuff with the Taranis(bought used as well)

I started with a Taranis and now use a Horus X12S. I use the telemetry integration and am very happy.

Just me but I like the brain desktop software better. I also have integrated BT so I can adjust stuff at the field. Rescue is a nice feature if you need it... the ikon flies awesome on my Goblin 380. Still trying to figure out if its the ikon or the heli but I know I love the combo!

Ps, I have a mini vbar pro on an old Fusion 50 (600 class heli). That was my fav until I got the g380 and ikon...🤔

I just swapped out AR7200BXs for iKON2/Brain2 BTs on a Goblin 500 and Goblin 630 and the iKON/Brain is head and shoulders better (more precise, much better tail and cyclic control, much more precise adjustment capabilities) than the BeastX units. The included Self-level and Rescue functions worked flawlessly, and with no extra charge or registration requirements. I will be changing the rest of my large helis to iKON2/Brain2.

I agree with everyones above posts. Ease of use, price and functionality. This was my first FBL and am Very happy with it on my Trex 470LP and Blade 360CFX.

Did you actually think youd get shade in the iKon when you asked that question here? ; )
