Default Beastx on a 500 3D questions

Can I use a beastx on my Blade 500 3D FB heli? Should it be setup like a 500X or use the 500 3D settings in the heli manual or something in between?

Converted my 500 3D to 500x and went with the default 500x setup to begin with then tweeked them to my liking. Prefer how the performs much better as a 500x.

I plan on leaving the flybar head on. The gyro that it came with is not very reliable, that's why I wanted to go with a beastx receiver.

I've never used a controller on a heli with a flybar, be careful. The flybar is a mechanical controller, it softens the response of the cyclic. To use a controller with another controller could be problematic. If you're going to do it, turn your cyclic gain down and see how it flies; best of luck.

Somewhere, maybe on here I heard it can be done. I will not attempt it without knowing that someone else has done it successfully.

If you only use the rudder + gyro gain channel, why not.
I have plans to do the same with a Tarot ZYX and a ALZRC 760Ás tail servo.

I do not like the E-Flite G210 from my 4503D too much...if it works..great...if not you may have a difficult time in setting it up properly.
Sometimes it wants to go right...then again left...then there is the drift.
What the heck...to stop the crap I even had to use rudder trim?!?!
Not to speak about the required rudder subtrim to get the servo horn to 90 degree....
Changing the belt strength made a big difference...
No, maiden flights really are no fun with the G210!

The BeastX tail gyro chip should be much better than the G210.
I hope I can workout the gyro gain with the Tarot ZYX...

But I will simply leave the three cyclic servos directly connected to my AR8000 and use CCPM 120 mixing in the transmitter.

If you want to have a real FBL gyro on your cyclic servos, go with a FBL system which supports a "flybar setting" like Spirit System.
I read somewhere that MSH Brain V2 nowadays also allows you to do this in the settings.

So with those you could also use the rescue...

Maybe the BeastX is not the right FBL for your 5003D flybar heli.
Or you need to convert it to a 500X with a flybarless head...
