Default Is the 360 CFX 3S being discontinued?

Thinking about picking up a used 360 CFX 3S. I see they have been on discount for a while and the new Fusion 360 just came out. How long before they discontinue or how long will parts be around? Don't want to buy something that I won't be able to get parts for in a year. Thanks!

That price drop sure makes it look like they plan to discontinue it. HH and other vendors still sell parts for my old 450x.

I bought a new one last week and really like it. Here it is compared to the 450x.

It is always hard to speculate how quickly Blade will discontinue a certain model. I own 2 of the 360-3s Heli’s. I liked the idea that the 360-3s shares a lot of common parts with the Trio 360 and the original 360-6s. At least Horizon has 3 machines out there to justify parts for. It looks to me like the “Original 360-6s” is the one being discontinued (would not make much sense to have 2 6-s machines). Hopefully the 360-3s will be around for a while as it is VERY popular and a terrific way for people to get into a FULL CP Heli with very standard batteries. I love mine, it is a great machine in a nice size.

Are you getting any tail wag?

Perhaps a VERY slight amount of tail wag. Not enough that anyone has ever noticed or commented on at the flying field. In fact people often comment how smooth it looks as I'm not a 3D guy and fly it more like a fixed wing aircraft. But I commonly do "nose in" hovers close in and it is rock solid. I'm flying with the DX8-Gen2 using all the standard values per the set up instructions. I've been flying it about 6 months now and could not be more happy with it. I owned a couple of Nitro Raptors (.30 and .60) back in the day and this little thing flies circles around them by far.

Spoke to someone at HH, and they told me no plans as of now but implied what we would all think. Hopefully parts will be around for a while.

I'm also a sport flyer, no 3d for me yet. Been lowering my gain and now at 30% it still wags maybe 1 inch each way when moving and is mostly stable at hover. The belt is adjusted at the proper tension.

Not a big deal but would rather see it more locked in.

They have no clue, very frustrating some of the answers they give, but I would not be surprised if all of them but the Fusion are dumped!

The fusion 360 is basicly the original 360cfx with metal tail parts and a servo in the frame instead of the boom.

They all share the same parts so even if they discontinue 360 3s you will still be able to get parts just will have to look under the 360 fusion.

Welcome to HH

That's good. Hopefully parts will stay around for a bit. I understand they have to come out with new models to stay competitive, but they should make sure parts stay available so we don't end up with expensive paperweights!

I got rid of my tail wag. Originally I set my low rate to 70% on everything then raised rudder back to 100%.

Now it flies extremely well!
