Yes, the Quick UK tail is a plug and play with the Logo 550, 600.

You would think someone else has to make 4 x 8 x 3.5 mm thrust bearings.

I would love to build another Logo 600 or 690 but I hesitate because of tail wag issues I have had in my past 500se and 600se. I have always hoped Mikado would come out with a better tail.

I'm scared to even test fly my new logo 550. It's my first logo and its almost finished. Maybe if it just sits on the desk, the tail won't wag. I did buy the quickUK tail as a stand by for alternate options if I have the dreaded wag. Lets hope not. I'm crossing my fingers. Got the speedix tail case in my cart also.

I don't understand what's going on i bought new thrusts for my logo 480 and 550 last summer. No wag before nor after. I bought from mikado usa. Maybe some retailers have bad old stock?

Also my 480 tail was less than smooth. It was all gummed up. Still no wag. Certainly wouldn't fall end to end on its own.

That makes me feel better. I just love the look and simplicity of the logo's. If all goes well with the 550, I'll be adding a 700 very shortly.

Heck yeah. Very simple, low parts count, decent parts prices, lightweight and great performing helis.

Logo 690sx short overview (6 min 23 sec)

Nice video Thickfog!!! Very informative. I see that you mount your servos directly to the frame without using the brass spacers or rubber grommets. Wasn't sure about that but it's nice to know that I can. Thanks for the video.

My logo is a v3 600sx bought from Mikado USA just a few weeks ago and it had a wag which only the hd500cell blade grips and thrust bearings fixed. A year ago I had an older model 600sx and also had the annoying slow hover wag as well. It is a problem and has been for a long time. I can't believe they have not changed either the size of the thrust bearings or the puny plastic blade grips to boot. Don't get me wrong....I love the way the logos fly and the simplicity of the design but after all these cases of tail wag issues and all the steps people ask if you have performed to alleviate it like sanding the shaft and the balls I would think they would have fixed the issue some time ago. Nice black aluminum slightly bigger blade grips and thrust bearings and metal balls with a metal armed pitch slider would be great.

The wag is annoying but it is not model threatening.

So long as you have built the model and set it up properly you should have no concern to test fly it.

An easy test is to spool the model up on the bench. Remove the main blades and disconnect the rudder control rod at the tail end. Put the tail full left and spool up. It should centre. Put the tail full right and spool up and it should centre.

If the tail doesn't centre then you definitely have a problem.

Well, finally got my first flight on my new logo 550 and no tail wag. That was exciting and a little bit nerve racking since I took a lay-off from flying for 7 months. It flew perfectly and it was so nice to look at something new in the air other than an SAB Goblin. I'm burnt out on the goblins. Well anyway, off to do another flight or two.

On an off note, does anyone know the gear ratio for the 550. I'm using the 16tooth pinion and the gear that came with the kit. Any help would be appreciated.
