Default Roban 600 size MD500E questions

I am finalizing my 600 size Roban 500E. I have also bought the cockpit but having a difficult time fitting it in without modding my Trex 600 ESP battery mount. I will need to either cut the seats in the cockpit to allow clearance for battery or place two batteries in parallel on each side of the frame. Either way I will need to cut the battery lip below the strap. So not sure which way to proceed - or just leave cockpit out ?

If I leave it out that’s 300g less which I was counting on for the CG. What have others done to balance the CG? How do you ensure that the added weight, either weight of the cockpit or other material used does not jeopardize the canopy from falling off?

It’s a great looking bird but need to make sure my CG is correct. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks

I have a similar problem with my JetRanger and am planning to mount the batteries on either side of the fuse and securing them with custom velcro straps.

You can custom-make battery holders that are anchored to the main part of the fuselage.
