Default Which ESC/motor for Logo-600

Hello,

I'm going to build my Logo-600 soon. It is going to swing 625mm main blades. I might upgrade it to SE and fly 690mm blades in near future. It is going to runs on 12s, 2x 6s 3300mhA in series.

Should I use Scorpion 560kv or 500kv?

Should I use Kontronic JIVE 80HV or 120HV?

Thanks for any input,

the logo 600 stock motor is a 4035-450. I have one in mine and its fantastic on 12s. I think the 560 is the 10s motor.
Im a sport flyer and rarely go over 80A so I would think the 80 would be fine.

In case you really want to use 690 blades in future i suggest you to use 500kv and jive120 with 12T pinion.

Scorpion HKIII 5020-450 together with Kontronik Jive HV120 wil give your heli enough power for all headspeeds.
The weight difference between the 4035-450 and 5020-450 is only 45g.
The only drawbak with the 5020 motor is the with where the frames have to be slightly filed to get it to fit.
The benefits is 10mm motorshaft with bigger bearings making the bearings last longer.
I have these combo in mine together with RT 640s.

Im still on my first main gear and it looks like the pinion and main gear wears at the same ratio and i have been flying it since 2014.

I've been running an Align 750 450 kv picked it up cheap and it's great! Kontronik 80 615 mm blades and 3300 batteries 4.35 volts per sell, wow do the have power.
Lots of good combos I also have a Hacker 450kv that looks great just need another 600.
I have a. 690 withe the Scorpion 4525 and it seems bigg and heavy 370 kv

Its a long story starting with the Logo i had befor the 600SX.
I had an old logo 500 3D with flybar and i buildt it as a 12S machine with Hyperion HS4035-500 motor and Kontronik Jive HV80 in it back in 2011.
So when i eventually crashed that in spring 2014 i desided for the 600SX and planned to use the electronics from the old heli in the new on.
Unfortunately the Hyperion motor did have 25mm bolt spacing with M3 bolts so i had to use my old motormount and could not use any of the 600SX third mast bearing supports ore third motor bearing support but did fly it for a while old style.
But i wonted to get better gearing for lower headspeed with 30mm bolt spacing and wonted a 450KV motor with at least the same power as the old motor and as all know the 4035-450 motor is lower rated then the 4035-500 motor.
If mattered i dont know but in my head i wonted a stronger motor but not stronger then the Jive HV80 could handle.

So after making a thread here about it i was encouraged
to try it and so i did.
The hope was to get to run 1600-2000 rpm headspeed with 12T pinion but the ESC governs these motor as a 485KV motor so i still have to use a 11T pinion like i did with the old 500KV motor.

BTW the Hyperion HS 4035-500 now lives on in a modifyed EXO 500 as the 25mm bolt pattern fitted the EXO.

I didn't know Logo600SX can take 640mm blades in. Are you running stock 600SX boom and belt?

I know the manual states max 630 main blades but 640s works great with stock SX tailboom and belt and even with 105 tail blades.
I fly mostly at between 1600 and 1800 rpm headspeed and the lift they give is great.

Even the 500 3D i had befor stated max 530 blades but i did fly with 560s with stock tailboom.
