Default Tail boom assy replacement wrong

HH has the CPS tail boom/motor assy (BLH2406) listed as the replacement for the S2. This is however wrong as it has the female plug. The S2 has the female plug on the PCB so needs the pin plug like the CPX on the assy. That part number is BLH3302 (CPX boom/motor assy).

I pointed this out a couple days ago on RCG but figured folks here should know also. It's an easy matter for most of us to deal with who solder but not for those wanting a "plug and play" part.

I wonder if and when HH will every update their parts page for the S2 to show the correct replacement tail?

I know they do update stuff on occasion. I called them a few days back about the Fusion 180 manual stating it needs a 3S battery required to complete. The product page shows 4S. Low and behold, the PDF online manual is now corrected. I’m sure the paper ones in the box will still be incorrect though.

For the S2, I would HIGHLY recommend a solid tail boom if anyone is looking for a fairly cheap upgrade. The motors usually will outlast the cheap hollow boom on the stock version.
Number likes this.

Yep, I have a solid boom ready to install.

Funny enough, though, after a couple hundred flights and numerous crashes, my tail boom finally feels mushy when I twist the tail motor--boom is definitely split. But the S2 still is flying just fine! No tail-blows or anything. Like, crazy man!

HH has updated their parts page for the S2 to the correct tail, BLH3302.

Thank you for this thread!

FYI, AMain Hobbies still shows the CP S tail as a valid part for the S2.
