Well, it took a while, but I finally got a 2nd one

Pre-owned, but in excellent shape. With a bunch of new Turnigy Nano Techs as well.

I un-soldered and reworked the antenna wire. It was routed where the battery sits and kinda bent weird. Previous owner mentioned having issues staying bound. Now it's safely sitting between the control board and frame.

Also shortened the rear and right swash push-rods. Out of the box this one probably flew oddly since blade pitch was not zero at mid stick, nor was the swash ever level.

Copied the model memory from my 1st heli in my DX6. After 2 successful test hovers inside I can't wait for some flying weather.

I think this one is still in the early stages of breaking in the brushed motor. Not exactly sure how many flights the previous owner had (very very low count) but by flight 20 this one should be ready to rock.

Probably due to extra quarantine time for packages by the post office, this one had a marathon 22 days of ground USPS shipping to travel 3 adjoining states. It actually went completely off radar for a week. I had to contact the post office and they actually found it and sent it on its way. Then it got stuck again once it got a couple of towns away. I was about to contact them again when it suddenly started moving in the system again. It finally arrived today in perfect shape. Considering everything that's going on I'm just glad it actually got here as it was shipped right before the stay-at-home recommendations were given.

I realize I'm probably writing this into a vacuum since everybody hates this heli and has moved on. Not me - I'm excited to have another great flying micro for stay-at-home flying And a crap-load of lipos now too !

Now if we could just get HH and online vendors to stop advertising the mCPX brushed main motor as an optional mCPS motor...

We'd have accomplished something wonderful !!

The motor connectors are different and vendors insist they follow HH's parts listings...

mCPX Main Motor is BLH3503 - advertised as an option for the mCPS

mCPS Main Motor is BLH5102

Agree!
I can confirm they're different - I scored a pre-owned mCPX a couple of years ago as well. Every other part is compatible, just not the motor (and controller board obviously).
Funny - when I got my first mCPS in 2017 all of the existing mCPX parts at stores were on clearance and seriously discounted. Not so much any more. What parts that are still available are back to retail prices.

Yes itís not the best micro HH deliver but I would say itís not that bad. (I donít give up on my mCPS just yet óó although I accidentally crashed it several months ago.)

During lockdown period mCPS is one of the viable options to toss around at home / backyard. esp. if itís upgraded to BL / DBL by any means...
