Default 360CFX V1 Battery Recommendation

Hi everyone,

Haven't flown in over a year. Looking to get my old girl up and running again. What batteries are you all using these days? I was pretty experienced back in the day (full 3D flyer). Looking for something that will support 3D once I'm comfortable and lasts long.

Thanks,

Anthony

I bought a couple of these but they barely fit under the canopy being more square. They've been a great packs though so far and were pretty cheap.

I have one of these coming to try even though I've heard not so good things about HRB lipos. It's a couple dollars cheaper than the one above.

Wow, 100C! If this was real, You could drain 150Amps of this little Battery, *lol*

As the 6S 360cfx is draining about 10A-15A in Flight, Peaks to 25A. (remeber the 35A Castle Talon ESC), a 1500mAh 30C Pack would do the Job, providing up to 45A.
Iīve been with Xtron 1400, 40C. Still fine, after about 100 Flights.
(I`ve been with a Zippy Compact 2200 40C aswell. RPM decreasing at 25A, should provide 88A. Crap, don`t buy).
I donīt say its impossible to fly the 360cfx in a way to drain Peaks higher than 45A - maybe it is. But I donīt think the Talon ESC will resist a serious Time in that case.

Yeah I don't take the C ratings seriously. And the way I fly a 20C lipo is plenty. My biggest concern was cost, availability, and "returnability".

The longer narrower packs are a little harder to come by anymore it seems. The older ones I have are Thunder Power 1300 70C. Back when I bought them they were $100 a pack compared to the $30-40 range now.

I always see PULSE, GENSACE, and Optipower mentioned as good brands... I personally have the 3s version and am just using the 3s 3000 e-flight packs...
