I practice hovering while slowly yawing (about 15 degrees / second) over a spot with each heli. Since they are almost always moving sub-trim does not seem like an issue.
The nCPX - nCPS - mCPX BL have a major difference from the 130X...

It's called collective tail

130X 3n1 board drift is a common issue and both the swash and tail drift can be cured using subtrim as indicated in the video above

I have had probably 4 dozen 130X's...every one having it's own model memory and subtrim

The 130X was notorious for having gyro drift. If I was to estimate I would say about 90% of them suffered. Some were worse than others.

The best way to see if your board has an affected gyro is to unplug the main motor, turn on the transmitter and then turn on the heli while on a flat surface. The gyro will initialize and the servos will begin power on.

Increase the throttle a bit and if you begin to see the swash plate tilt off-center than you have a gyro drift. On a perfect board, the servos will move up or down in unison and they will remain flat and even.
