Default RCE-BL15X ESC replacement?

So I've had no problems with this ESC since around I bought it (2010? whenever first trex 250 super combo's came out) until today, it just wouldn't spool up like normal.
It just jitters the rotor and then when the rotor gets enough movement it gradually increases to actually spool up then boom good rpm...or at least enough to fly alright for the most part. However nowhere near as much power as it used to have. I took the esc off, removed the heatshrink, removed the heat plate and thermal silicon...can't see any damage on the fets afaik.

What are some good replacement options?
I can only seem to run across these costing around 35 to 40$ each...ick....

I am not sure if the ESC is the problem here ( it might very well be tho)
On my 2010 pro super combo I changed the esc for a yep 18A from Hobbyking, which for about $12 it is a fantastic unit with lots of heli dedicated options

😂 yes, the YEP series is a Hobbyking clone of the YGE escs.
They work amazing and I have in my 250 and 450.
For the 500 and 550 I went for castle as well...

Cool. Yeah that's what I probably would've got if I didn't find this Talon 15 + cable for cheap at 15$ shipped
