Yeah they don't always strip like hot butter when you tip or crash I've also been using EMax ES08MDII and ES09MDII lately which are dirt cheap.

Both the Lynx ones and the standard KST ones will be fine. I'm flying the original 6S 360CFX but with two blades. Recently I put a Spirit FBL on it and really love that.

Lots of good inexpensive micro servos out there. I've been hearing this Promodeler brand lately too. I still have the H3060 on the tail as it's not been any trouble. If you are not an intense 3D pilot you won't notice the difference in servo speeds from cheap to ultra expensive. Heck I don't even notice on my 400's using analog MG servos.

Well, there is a thread with pictures about the KST DS215MG / Turnigy 306-G in the main forum that the motor separated from the PCB for one / some batches.

Or you try a Turnigy DMC 809 cyclic from Hobbyking; not that expensive.

The K-Power DMC 809 seem to have Titanium gears.
But I could not find too many sources / dealers for them.

Alternatively I saw some D-Power REX full alu cyclic servos at my LHS here in Germany spec with 5,8kg / 6,5kg (7,4V / 8,4V) but reading about the one year full warranty direct vendor support from MKS servos surely is also a great thing to have when you do your price calculation.

KST's servos seem to be getting more and more expensive?
(I can remember 29EUR inclusive 5-6,0 EUR shipment here in Germany 2-3 years ago).
You want to make sure that there is at least some dealer / vendor support for KST within the first months if something happens to the internals like motor/pcb separation.

How can this even happen?
Does KST not have any quality control for new batches?
Why do they not actively call those batches back and offer a free servo replacement??

Default Compare technical Data

Comparing technical Data, the Stock H3050 appear to be not that bad. Maybe they strip when hitting the Ground to hard - but what else will break, if they don`t?
Most other Servos fitting the Blade Trio 360 (and other Blade 360cfx) are a little slow. I can not react that fast, but the AR7210BX FBL will notice. At Headspeeds about 2500 RPM there are about 1 or 2 Rotor Turns, till the stock Servo makes the cyclic setting, requested by FBL. Using a slower Servo will not be helpfull for stability and smooth Hover/Flight.
So i refused searching for alternative Servos, and I made up my Mind to refuse hitting the Ground that hard...

Great choice ! been flying my 3S "absolutely stock" everything for about a year. Couldn't be happier. Granted, I only sport fly - loops, rolls, stalls, flips, split S type stuff.

I have heli's with stock cyclic servos...some with KST215MG V3's...

But I don't skimp over price on the tail servo

The majority of My 450X's have the BK3005HV

The Align 470L and Gaui X3 have the BK5005HV

That way if any much better pilots want to fly one...it will hold no matter what maneuvers they throw at it

Well, you don't have to hit the ground hard at all to strip an H3050! Just a very slight blade strike from tipping over before even getting off the ground easily strips them.

The KST DS215MG V3 is slightly slower than the stock 3050 - 0.06 sec vs. 0.053 sec. I'm going to a new FBL, so I should be able to tune out the difference in response time. The KST has much stronger stainless steel gears, compared the aluminum ones in the H3050. I think I'll get some of these on order!

Edit: Just noticed the Spirit config ap has the KST 215MG listed on the menu, so it will dial in the different characteristics for you! Also noticed from the specs that the KST has a higher max update rate than the Spektrum 3050.
