Here are some pictures of my 230s in an Airwolf fuselage.
I added retracts, navigation lights, and landing lights controlled by the gear.
I also made a missile pod and guns for it.

Could you please a little more detail on how you retracts to work with the blade 230s receiver, I have tried many times with no luck. I have a DX7G2.
Thanks

Very nice helicopter. I do like the scale aspect of flying these helis.

My particular favourite would be the Bell UH 1 Iroquois. I think the 230s twin rotor would be ideal but the three rotor tail rotor is not very scale overall. Has anyone tried to make a two blade rotor? I have had the tail rotor chuck a blade and the helicopter has still flown ok so I don't think its impossible.

Rich. The receiver uses all six channels to fly the 230s. I used an AR7200bx seven channel receiver. I used two 20 amp escs, one to fly the heli and one for the tail rotor and channel seven for the gear. My next project will be a Bell 412 Griffon from Heli-Scale quality. I'll do it up in our Aerospace colors. To answer Allan's question. Heli- Scale make 90mm two blade rotors. Although you may have to change the hub on the motor.

After the Mi-17, Mi-8 and Mi-17MD (171) I have now also built the Mi-14 Haze. It has a boat hull and lateral sponsors. The five-leaf is here from Walkera, you can also take the one from Rakonheli.

Default Blade 230S Scale Fuselages Vids

Some of You asked for seeing Heli Scale Quality Scale Fuselages with Blade 230S Mechanics in Flight. Just watch my Vids on Youtube, there are lots of them.

Mostly the Vids are showing the Model hovering in Front of the Camera, to show the Paintings and Details. But here is one to show how the Model ist able to fly:

Blade 230S NOTAR MD520N (4 min 15 sec)

This one might give You a good Impression too:

Blade 230S EC135 1:18 Scale Fuselage Fourblade Fenestron Tail (5 min 55 sec)

First ist Blade 230S with Five-Blade from Rakonheli and NOTAR Tail, driven by Blade 130S Main Motor. Second one ist Blade 230S Fourblade and Fenestron Tail, driven by Stock Motor and ESC.

Lupusprimus has made a lot of them. Each Scale Modell from HSQ has Rotor Configuration similar to the real machine. I have build the UH-1B (Agusta Bell 204) in Heliswiss Design. Two Blade Tail Rotor performs fine, and Noise is much less disturbing.

Were is everyone getting there scale fuselage's and parts from?
I'm going to assume that the 230s v2 will fit in these the same as the 230s v1.

Kruger,

I think this is the most common one I see in searches from the past and today.

That`s right. It makes no difference, so i prefer to buy second hand used V1. Mechanics is mostly invisible, and performs fine in scale style flight.

Let me post the correct link to Heli Scale Quality webshop:
http://www.heli-scale-quality.com/ro...to-350-mm.html
Fuselages for rotor-distance 305 to 350mm, but allso 355 to 450mm fit the Blade 230S. Biggest one is Skycrane fuselage 720mm length.

Wow! This looks sooo awesome!

Did you have to modify the stock frame for this.. or does it fit in directly?

And how good is the fuselage detail wise? It seems too expensive.. but if its really good quality I would buy one..

This particular one was not expensive when I bought it. I think it was around $80.00us. It was a fiberglass body not a shell. In the end, it turned out way to heavy for the 230 to lift it off the ground. Modifications were many to both frame and body. I sold the body to a fellow who had a couple of 250 helis. Check out Heli-Scale Quality they have several nice non fiberglass bodies for the 230. But no Airwolf. I have seen Bell 222 body, but no Airwolf for a while now. Only large scale.

Thats right. The Owner of Heli Scale Quality refuses to make Scale Modells of Helicopters wich are not in serial Production. I asked for RAH 66 Comanche, and some asked for "Blue Thunder". No Chance. I guess, that`s why there is no Airwulf from Heli Scale Quality.

But check out this crazy Skycrane:
