Default How to bind AS3X RX with IRangeX and OpenTX with X12S?

Please help, super frustrated.
Running OpenTX 2.31 (that was interesting...)
I purchased a X12S FrSKY, installed the IRangeX module and cannot bind with my Blade 230 v2 S which has the AS3X receiver.
Under Model, I've turned off the internal RF, activated the external RF and the following:
Mode: MULTI FlySKy Std
Module Status: No MULTI TELEMETRY Detected
Channel Range: CH1 - CH16
Receiver No. 01
Bind on channel: not selected
The IRangeX module is set to 0. Red light is on (it's bound to the RX).
Turn on the TX, the bind plug is installed correctly on the AS3X, turn the power on for the 230, and click on the bind button on the TX.
Light flashes on/off on the RX, the TX beeps, and it never binds.
I've tried different options, cannot get it to bind.
Help, I'm a noob on this OpenTX and very frustrated.
Thanks so much!

I don't know how the X12S displays things. However, my Taranis X9D+ using OTX FM 2.31 is set as follows:

Protocal: DIY Multiprotocol Module
Multi Radio Protocol: DSM
Sub Type DSMX 11ms

The above information is displayed in the External Radio Module section. This setup works with my 230s.

Hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Danny
