Looks like the ESC goes on the top front in both variations. I assume the main gear is straight so its compatible with x5/x7 pinions.

The X7 only has slant cut pinions and the x5 only has 6mm pinions in 14 and 15t. I think it's a whole new setup.

ahh i see, didnt know that about the X7. Personally I would like to see them include the Nitro parts in the kit and not separate them. Its really only a X6 as of now.

take another look at the 6s setup.. the motor and lipo are extremely close.
why not just have the motor mounted like the 12s setup? the way they have it for 6s, there is a lot of weight down low.
no lipo tray either.. this is the 21st century, everybody wants a lipo tray. well, I do.

Ya I agree with you Tony. I would have preferred more modern touches on this heli. I also want my motor on the top but looking at the 12S setup it looks like it causes you to run your wires from your fbl unit at a sharp angle and extremely close to the motor. After examining all of the photos I am starting to think that Gaui tried to cram too much sh*t into one heli frame they should have stuck with X6 and NX6 combination. Also on the nitro I dont understand why they kept the header tank on it, its not needed with modern clunks.

Is it light enough to configure it with the following ?

OS 37 with 520 mm blades
Maybe with mini servos ?
OR
OS 50 with 570's and standard.

I had longer flight times with those combinations. Just curious 🙂

It does say you can run os50 and 55 on it with 550, If you want 37 I would go with the nx4. I wished they would have released the NX5 not sure why that heli never made it to the market.

Ya that would have sold well ... it's a shame they never build what we ask for.

A 37 is quite capable of swinging from 520 - 550 blades.
I miss the 30 size nitro

I would run 570's on my 600N but I think it would be heavy ..... gonna have to try it again someday.

Just FYI, I did confirm with one of GAUI pilots and they did state that if you want to run your motor on top you will need to cut the two frame supports that are just behind the FBL plate and above the the main gear. You will have no choice but do this for a 12S setup.
