Default 230S V2 P-Mix question

This is very confusing to me.

What is the step by step procedure to actually set this up in the DX 8 G2 transmitter?

Do you have the heli flying? What are you trying to accomplish with a mix?

The heli is not flying yet, still setting up the transmitter. The instruction manual has a mixing setup called P-Mix 1. I think it is for panic setup.

In panic/rescue mode the gear channel (chan 5) should go to +150 and AUX1 (chan 7) should go to -100 from +100.
Genesis X7 likes this.

+1 And this can be confirmed in your transmitter monitor screen to be sure it is mapped correctly before trying it in real flight.

Default 230S Rescue = (CH5=+150) OR (CH7=-100)

Actually, I'm pretty sure that you only need to do one or the other - you don't necessarily have to do both.

In the 230S-V1 manual, the DX8 G1 setup page specifies the CH7=-100 method, while the 230S-V2 manual specifies the CH5=+150 method.

HH has said they are going to eliminate the AUX1 from it. I just wanted to be extra sure he had it set to where there were no surprises. Also the AUX1 thing has messed up people on other brand radios that weren't Spektrum to where they were confused why they couldn't get out of SAFE mode.

I believe the first V2's out were still using AUX1 in the SAFE programming. Maybe they have changed that by now.
