Last lipo, I decide to take it easy as I had 5 successful flights yesterday. What happens? My inner 3D not so capable self takes over and flips 4 feet off the deck in IU1. First one ok so why not try another? Back to repair status, $120-140 in parts plus blades.

Surprising how soft the grips are. Both indented where blades hit despite me tightening them super tight. Came in inverted but fortunately hit TH limiting damage to boom, boom support, TT, tail shaft, tail drive gear and maybe main mast. As long as spindle and bearings are fine no need to replace grips. Otherwise, no access as the indentations block the removal path forcing grip replacement.

Going to try out balancing two single orphaned 813 blades.

Well it's been a while since this thread got some action so I thought I might provide some

Repaired my XXTREME after quite a while. I think a year plus. I was pending to change out the main shaft bearings. It proved quite a chore and at the end of the whole exercise probably unnecessary

In the meantime I'd been flying my Banshee, Diabolo and TDR. All very nice helis but just not the same. After the last major incident I replaced the main grips which had been mutilated by various different blade collisions, as well as bearings, canopy and I'm not sure what else as it was over a period of time. One thing I do remember is moving the tail gear wheel 1mm lower on the mainshaft by shifting the shims around to get better clearance especially in a crash! Found this advice after searching shimming.

5 flights later I'm really happy to have made my big beauty airworthy again. My baby autos are much better and I now land very gently. Additionally, I'm much less likely to crash as I seem to have gotten some of that out of my system

Finally, I now have a bird that can use the giant Revo 4.35V 7S packs!

Happy flying! Hope to hear from others how theirs are going

You finally admit the Xxtreme is better than all your exotic German helis.

Don't encourage him

There's something about the "plastic" frames of the Logos that just makes the flying experience so smooth. Without that, other helis have to be that much better to give as good an experience. The XXtreme makes up for that in size and dampening!

Just admit it, logos are better than Banshee, Diabolo and TDR!!!! They are fine helis but the 800xx can not be beaten in size.

Nice bird bro. With the new logo 800 plastic frame out and half a kgs lighter, will it be better than the xtreme or not much difference? Iím just trying to justify the xtreme with the cost coming down.

The new Logo is a much better airframe IMO. The older Xxtreme's are basically a deck of cards. The new version is also 500g lighter, which is the equivalent of a 4530 motor worth of weight removed from the frame.

My only gripe is that they chose to stick with a pod & boom design.

Thanks for the infos. Apart from the frame, are the parts able to swap? I only see the change on the grip which the Xtreme seems bulkier while the new logo seems more slender. I still like the xtreme grip blade as it looks real solid and strong. However if Iím not wrong, Xtreme is discontinued and Iím just wondering on the parts in the future if you happen to own one.
