Default Can I use a RF Interlink-x usb transmitter

I have RF 8 with the interlink-x controller, is there any way to use it with Phoenix 6?

It is my understanding that all versions of Phoenix require you to use the proprietary Phoenix USB dongle in order for the Phoenix simulator to run. Assuming you have access to one of those Phoenix USB dongles (or know how to hack the code), you should be able to use any of the InterLink controllers (Elite, X, or DX) as the controller for your Phoenix simulator. However, unless you have a special need for the Phoenix simulator like flying with Phoenix friends on-line or just feeling nostalgic, you may want to consider spending you simulator time with more modern simulators.

Phoenix Ver 6 can use the aftermarket dongles.

Have had it running like that since my USB adapter went south and V6 upgrade came out. Couldn't get an OEM USB adapter, so I tried a knockoff adapter from fleabay on V6 and it works just fine.

Tell me a bit more about how to circumvent the "proprietary" Phoenix USB cable. Can I use a regular/generic USB cable like I am able to do with RealFlight 8+, AccuRC 2.x, neXt, and Heli-X, or do I still need some sort of "special" USB connector/adapter capable of circumventing the Phoenix proprietary USB limitation?

For Phoenix 6 you still need the proprietary USB dongle plugged in but you can also plug something else in another USB port and use it. I have both my Interlink Elite and DX programmed for Phoenix.

If there is a version that doesn't look for the normal one then it's a hacked copy. You can buy dongles that the program will see as "original" all over EBay and Amazon. Heck the Gartt one even has a switch position for RF and the red reset button on it like on the Interlink.

Since Phoenix is a discontinued product, I don't believe the HeliFreak moderators will have any issues for discussing these "hacked USB dongles". Can you provide weblinks to the USB adapters that allow you to run Phoenix?

I do not need the OEM dongle plugged into mine. Just use the "substitute replacement" for the no longer available OEM dongle,
