Default Canopy grommets - How to install?

Hi all,
New to heli, coming from nitro cars where everything is bigger. Having trouble putting some grommets (extras that come with the MSR) into another canopy.
Did a search and didn't find anything, any hints for someone with fat fingers?
Thanks!

I only have two holding my current canopy, but I think it may make it easier by maybe putting the grommet on a toothpick and using that as a guide to put it in.

This is only theory at present as I just thought of it when I read your post, haha.

Pull a loop of thread through the canopy hole, put the grommet in the loop, then pull up the slack. Stuff one side of the grommet into the hole, then pull the thread to seat the other side. Then simply remove the thread. Easy.

Another thing that works is to put the post through the hole in the canopy and THEN put the grommet on the post, from the outside.

For "o-rings" I agree, for grommets that are grooved and actually intsall and stay in the body holes, that won't work.

I finally got a light with a magnifier so it was a lot easier, the thread thing was difficult for me so in the end I just kind of mashed them in and pushed and prodded and but finally got them in.

Using a petroleum product on rubber is not a good idea. If that had shown a synthetic grease then good.
