Default My new omphobby m2

All I can say is WOW this Heli is built like a tank! Hands down the best micro ever made! Tail is so solid it donít move a1/4 inch on full pumps. Itís so quit and looks amazing. If you love micros this Heli is for you! Only issue is the directions are not that good but if I figured it out you can. Iíll upload my pics of my new racing yellow m2

Glad to hear such a positive report! I'm thinking about getting one of these. Did it come with a battery? Is the battery a standard 3S or is it proprietary? Are you using an SBus receiver or Dsmx?
Thx,
J.

All kits come with a battery and a holder which could be rapidly snapped into the heli. The battery is proprietary but you can use 850maH 3S for the Oxy2/Trex 250 without the holder.

took me 5 min to replace main shaft as it slips down

So, never thought i'd think this, but I might want to sell my Oxy 2 to get one of these. I've watched many, many videos on these and everyone has absolutely loved it. The power seems great and the parts count is nothing.

The only that that scares me is the setup. I know how to setup a regular heli, but this is different correct? I fly a Spektrum DX7S. I heard I would need to buy a RX to have it bound. I have multiple satellites to use with the RX. What is different about setting this heli up? Think its better flying than the oxy 2? Should I do it?

I love that you don't have to setup the tail and worry about guide rod length, blade pitch, etc.

don't let the setup scare you. Just plug in a DSMX receiver or satellite that is already bound, and use a normal model in Spektrum DX receiver. Channel 5 is your self-level or 3D mode, and that's about it after setting your throttle curves. I fly at 80% throttle flatline at the highest and sometimes it's fun to fly with slightly slower headspeed. But then, I'm not an expert so it would depend on your desires

So question. I currently have an oxy 2 with the satellite bound. Can I take the sat off that oxy and use it for the OMP? I don't want to purchase a RX just to bind a sat.

Does the heli come with any extras like I have seen in videos? Is the setup similar to a normal heli? Gain? Gyro? etc.

I would like to buy one of these. Would it be OK for indoor flying ? Can you tone it down a little or is it strictly a outdoor 3D machine.

Can you buy an other brands of batteries?

I have a DX9 I could use but I donít have a Satelite. I would have to buy a full size receiver and a satellite to bind it first. Then install it in the M2 ?

I normally fly VControl / VBar so I am not as familiar with Spektrum.

You can use your VBar to bind a Spektrum satellite no problemo. Or get a banggood special Spektrum satellite with built in bind button -- about $10 USD usually

It is way too powerful for indoor flying, unless you have got a large gym.

The stock batteries are designed for a specific battery latch. But you do not have to use the latch and it can take ordinary 850mAH 3S batteries.

All you need is a satellite receiver with a bind button. e.g

Is there a company distributing this heli in the EU?
Importing from China is quite expensive (import taxes, customs...)

The M2 is now also available here in EU, Austria at modell-hubschrauber.at in Vienna (ships worldwide).

Angry

Well, I might be the first one complaining about it. This was me fourth flying and the Heli started to shake like it was too much gain in the gyro.
And I do not know where to adjust the gyro gain.
The only think that was different today to the other day it was a little windy.
Any Ideas? It is a nice heli.
The shaking was up and down, it wasn't in the tail :-(

I've had mine since Super Bowl Sunday but I'm just getting around to firing it up. I bound it to my Futaba early this morning without hitch.

This little bird is going to get me back in the air after a 4 year hiatus. I had a motorcycle accident in '16 and had to re-learn how to use my right hand (right hand dominant). I bought a preowned Oxy 3 last March and an Oxy 4 Sport kit last Oct. I was very hesitant about even attempting to assemble a kit or even fumble through checking over & setting up a used heli. After following the M2 buzz starting last August, I bit the bullet & purchased the Blue setup as it was the only color available through Amazon Prime. I didn't want to wait for the 5 weeks shipping time from China & OMPHobby doesn't ship to Hawaii.

I must say that so far, this is an impressive lil heli for such a bargain price imho. It's assembly is spot on after checking it over. A lil blue loctite here & there to ease my conscience is all it needed. I ordered a few extra Tattu batteries to try but I'm waiting on my XT30U bits to arrive so I can recharge all the batteries. I'm uber anxious to maiden this lil guy.
