Yeah that’s what it looks like. I put one one my 5 when I did the Meg stretch.

It is. I decided to get one during the holiday sales just in case I needed it. Since I'm going to be doing a 6S non-stretch, I probably don't, but I'll put it on anyway.

My kit is a V1 with the CF landing gear as well, still debating if I want to get the newer plastic ones before I put it together.

It’s actually taken me a few days, but finished the tail on my Logo 600, set the gear mesh on the motor, and soldered connectors on my batteries, my ESC, and soldered the BEC leads to the ESC. Now I can start the setup process, and get my wires routed and secured.

Works pretty well

That's the same switch they have on paper shredders. Perfect choice for that job. Good idea.

Great to see all these long time users working on a helicopter. This is what the hobby is all about, flying, tinkering, building, repairing, modifying. Keep on rockin!!

Today I did some bearing maintenance/checkups on the 700. Took the rotorhead off and inspected and cleaned the drivetrain area and gave it a good once over for good measure. Looking forward to some flights in the coming weekend.

Drilled and tapped a 2mm screw on my original Oxy3 TE's landing gear cant believe i got a drill in the center of that screw, at nearly 60 i could barely see the helicopter more less a 2mm screw but i will be back up in the air with it after a 3 year layoff

thank god for the Oxy 2 training program!

Wow nice... what's the gear ratio?
fs usually run quite a low RPM compared to 2smoke, what's your target headspeed? Is it for a scale heli or something?

Default Logo 550SE

I am building a Mikado Logo 550 SE. This will be my first Logo. Almost ready to fly. If it would just warm of a bit more. My maiden it this weekend. I put XT90 connectors on the battery and device. Now it appears no one mades a paraboard for XT90. Going to have to make a adapter to convert back to EC5. So I can charge the packs. I have a EC5 para board. Heading to my LHS soon.

@Armchair, did you get the updated, safer silver OWB for your Oxy 5? Thought I’d ask since you mentioned you have a V1.

Um, no I didn't know there was such a thing. Is there a thread on it?

I had XT90 connectors on a 1/8 monster truck (Arrma Nero) and they were always coming unplugged while driving it. I'm usually not one to give unsolicited advice, but I don't think I would trust those in an aircraft. (I converted my truck to EC5)

I've been flying XT90s on helis for years. Since at least 2016. Still use them currently on my 516S. Not a single issue out of any of them.

You could have had a bad connector that was too loose or the wires were getting caught causing it to come unplugged. Mine have never moved at all, let alone come completely unplugged.

Today I finished converting my Jersey 1.3 fuel jug to electric like I did the 2.5 in a previous post. Now I just need to pick up another 3s LiPo for it.

The first stage of gearing will speed it up by about 1.7 to 1 in order to engage the clutch and spin the cooling fan. Still working on particulars. Hoping for 1700 headspeed with 8,000 at the 4 stroke
engine
