Question Xiao Luo Power Motors

I want to know if the XLPower motors made in the Egodrift factory in china are of the same quality.

While this is a dedicated EGODRIFT forum and it's not the (nor my) place to discuss XLPower motors, allow me a few general remarks, as well as the following analogy:

A Volkswagen car costs 1/3 the price of a Bentley. Are they of the same quality?

Both brands will do their best, to give you a good cost/value relation, but ultimately you (know that you'll) get what you pay for.

Our team and machinery are among the best you can find and it's my firm belief that we couldn't build a bad motor if we wanted to. Nevertheless the materials, components, technology (incl. all the r&d and testing involved) - and let's not forget: customer service - that sum up to the experience of flying EGODRIFT motors are one of a kind, and their higher cost reflects on the, in my opinion still very reasonably priced, final products.

Hope this helps and

best regards

Vincent

Vincent
I have read the wikipedia and there is no mention about VW cars being made in the same factory as BENTLEY

show me a video of the Egodrift building facility I want to make sure that you use better tooling, quality materials and quality tests than XLP.

regards

Allow me a better suggestion:

As I have a feeling that no answer I take the time to write for you will be to your complete satisfaction, I recommend you to buy both (one of the two even comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee), and see for yourself. Or ask people that have owned or flown both, I am sure they will be more than happy to confirm what I am trying to tell you.

Lastly I believe that the emphasis we put on the service around our motors makes for a great deal within the whole EGODRIFT "experience", a point I feel is dearly missing in your evaluation.

And please feel free to ask around about this, too - I am confident you'll find a positive testimony or two out there,

best regards

Vincent

Freedom of choice to buy what you feel is a modern day privilege shared by most. If you feel the XLP motors are of better value than go ahead and purchase the motor and be happy, if you are not happy with the XLP motor then maybe try the Egodrift. I absolutely do not see any reason for this thread other than raise your own ego and feel good about yourself.

I would like to believe you if you prove with facts and post a video of your factory. is there anything to hide ?
you come up with the wrong VW cars example so why should we trust your wording over the XLP owner ?

Last I checked $129/$209 is not 1/3... As a matter of fact to get this mythical 3:1 price ratio you would have to compare a XLP 3215 to a Tengu 4035 or 4525!

Tengu $209 4025 1050kv:
https://www.egodrift.com/tengu-4025-...ter-motor.html

XLP $129 4025 1100kv:
http://www.xlpower-rc.com/prolist.asp?id=235

XLP $89 3215 960Kv:
http://www.xlpower-rc.com/prolist.asp?id=904

If you want to compare car factories... compare Audi to Volkswagen. Or Toyota to Lexus. The Audi/Volkswagen will always have the baggage that comes with them, and similarly with the Toyota/Lexus.

Egodrift is clearly the higher end motor. And they offer something that no other builder in the heli world offers, customization. Want a higher or lower Kv, longer shaft; they work with you. Try that with XLP. Or Xnova or Scorpion.

Vincent has impressed me enough to put Egodrift in my new builds, and I like black

Then don't. Go buy the XLP motor and be happy. Why do you feel he needs to prove anything to you?

The same goes for you Kanduxa

I would like to believe you're a decent human being,if you prove with facts that you're not a "Troll".
You come up with questionable examples here on Helifreak,so why should we trust you over the Egodrift owner?

Marketing does not pay for R & D and customer support..

If something goes wrong with the XLPower motor will they offer any support to get this fixed or replaced quickly?

This is usually the problem with cheaper products. If this is not a concern for you get the XLPower.

I am pretty sure there will not be significant amount of difference in quality or performance for you to justify getting the Egodrift motor over the XLPower motor.

Scorpion did two special motors for me at no extra cost a few years back.
