I was the same way. And Ben kept telling me to try them and I kept saying “no”. He even told me the stick movements but couldn’t quite grasp it. Until I saw SmackTalk’s video where Bert uses a 450 and walks through the maneuver. Then someplace I read basically you stir the opposite of your rudder and it clicked. The stir is the relatively easy part the problem is keeping the disc flat after the flip. I will keep practicing to perfect the piros. But all in time.

Yep.
The stir isn't all that difficult once you figure out the basics. It's keeping the disc flat, and keeping it flipping in the same direction, that's the hard part. The stir is simple, the stir + small corrections to said stir is less simple

Then once you get piroflips flipping outwards, then try piroflipping to the left... then toward yourself... then to the right... then mix them and do them out left in right over and over, then you've got a chaos Still working on that one...

The only way they come is by pushing yourself to learn them.

Not sure that is a LOL moment. Rescue is something that needs to be practiced just as much as anything else. Why set it up or even include it as part of the sw, if not?

Here is an incredibly boring video of me practicing.

https://youtu.be/pAPXcEPmbFM

I don't know what the secret sauce is for getting this to show up as an embedded video.

That was some nice training! Piro hover, figure 8's and autorotations, then some inverted hover. Really nice, keep that up!

On my browser, I just copy/paste the URL and it automatically shows the embedded video after I submit the reply.. I use Chrome, but it did that on IE as well. The embedded video disappears when I edit the post, though so my fix is to copy/paste it again. So I don't use any of the Helifreak page functions, like the YouTube icon, it's just plain copy/paste of the video link.

EDIT: Oh and your computer specs are pretty darn awesome!

Thanks Javier! PC is a little old now ... 2012 with a 2018 graphics card. But it works so I will leave it alone!

I hope to work up to inverted slow piros and eventually inverted figure 8's in "forward" and "reverse" ... might be a ways off though

I've been tryin to push my self to practice more on the sim. It's a struggle. I've managed to crack 90 Hours since I purchased the Accurc Simulator. I know it's not much, I'm in this hobby just casually. But having said that I want to see if I can clock it for 100 Hours. That's my goal for this year.

Your flying is REALLY good, especially for just casual flying. I don't put in nearly as much time as I would want but I am trying and I do try to give it as much time as I can and I feel I am still very far behind and progressing slowly. You definitely have natural ability so keep going. I admit I have not simmed yet since I started flying for real, as my focus has been to transfer what I have learned to real life. I believe my gap between both is not as abysmal as before, though. Still a long way to go.

Default AccuRC - 1 Month Progress

This is my progress so far after getting into helicopters just one to two months ago. I purchased my first Blade Nano S2 in May 2020 to learn on and have since purchased a Blade 230s v2, Blade Fusion 360, and finally now a Goblin 570.

Next up is a 700 size heli ideally later this year or maybe sooner, or I may just purchase a kraken 580 kit and sell the 570 airframe later because that one is beautiful as well.

Enjoy.
