![]() Does anyone know if there's a PC application for generating model files for the DX8?
I downloaded the mCP X model file from Spektrum. The file format is a simple XML file structure, so it would be a simple application to write. If an application doesn't already exist I'm going to write one. Let me know if anyone else would be interested this application. |

![]() I think you'd get a lot of interest, myself included. I've seen requests for such a thing on helifreak and other forums. I say go for it

![]() Definitely, DEFINITELY do it... Just make sure it's open, please.
![]() I was actually thinking it would make a great web app... Set up a website with a couple of Ajax forms, it creates the XML file & downloads to your computer. Easy peazy... An iPhone/iPad app would be pretty easy as well... I may do it when my work schedule opens up... Hmmm.

![]() Oh please!
I just got my DX8 last night, although I did get my helis set up pretty quick and easy, I didn't dive in to any d/r or curve settings. It would be a huge plus to be able to sit down at the PC and see everything laid out logically on one page/screen. As a first time user, I was OK doing a straight linear model config with reversing and sub trims, but for all the things I paid the extra bucks for... I'll need to either take extensive notes and/or have it all laid out on one screen to make sense of it. |

![]() I agree this would be great. I have read on other forums by people much more computer literate than I that this is an absolute minefield. Have a look at my SPM Decoder thread which at least presents the info on a single page ...... boy do I wish for the ability to encode on a pc tho

![]() Is there a recent version of a tool that can convert/display DX9 SPM files in a pretty readable format so I could attach this output file to my flight log each time a make a flight?
TX Profile Manager did look good, but it dates from 2013 and doesn't run anymore on current PCs? Is there something similar and recent? |
