Default Anyone considering the Kraken 580?

If so, Egodrift has your motor choices all figured out for you with recommendations for 6S and 12S.

From the site:

With the eagerly awaited Kraken 580 just around the corner, here are our official EGODRIFT Tengu motor recommendations for you:

For 6S setups:
Our all-new Tengu 4025HT / 1190kV (p/n 11865) will be the very first model within a whole new range of High Torque (HT) series motors in the 40xx stator class - specially developed to provide improved cooling and performance in high kV, 6S configurations.
Shipping around June 22nd, preorders open now.

For 12S builds:
Out for a 12S build? Then get our proven Tengu 4025HS / 550kV (p/n 11799) from your local EGODRIFT Authorized Reseller or via egodrift.com

For all other configurations:
Whether you intend to run 600 blades, 7S setups or special conversions: We got you covered. Check out our wide variety of winds in the 4025 stator class (like our topselling 1050kV model), feel free to hit us up for custom kV requirements - and stay tuned for some brand new 4030 size options just about to hit the market.

Note:
Please choose the available 6x32mm (standard) shaft option for a perfect fit with your new SAB Goblin Kraken 580.

I have a Kraken coming.

I am thinking going 8S with a Egodrift Tengu 4025HS / 1050kV and a 18T pinion.

Numbers look good from Mels:
Lowest RPM (due to voltage and efficiency) : 2287
For + performance, keep req. RPM below: 2367
For target performance, keep req. RPM below: 2462
For - performance, keep req. RPM below: 2533

8S gives you the the benefits of the 12S without the extra weight of the 4 extra cells. Voltage that most of use will never miss.
